I hate the Optima steering wheel.

 

The dash in the Optima looks like it was inspired by Gumby. I'm not crazy about the rear doors and quarter panels either.

 

If I had the choice between a Sonata and an Optima again, I'd choose the Maxima.

 

AMEN! I RUE the day I gave up my Maxima. I gave up row on your own and a smooth VQ motor. Eh, you live and learn.

On another note my wife has given me the go ahead to replace the next car and she said she would take the Sonata. I LOVE my wife!

I would love a new Maxima MINUS that craptastic CVT stuff. So I have no idea where I am going to look.

 

I just dumped a 2012 Focus Ti. Its been a LONG time since I owned a Ford and I heard plenty of folks warning me that Ford Quality was horrible but I really liked the styling of the Focus and the amount of tech they had in the car. Worse mistake of my life!. To say they have problems with the DCT 6 speed auto tranny is an understatement. My clutches were replaced at 10k miles if that tells you anything.

Everything rattles inside as well, especially the headliner which is attached with double-sided tape and Velcro. (Im not kidding).

My 2013 Sonata SE is 100x more solid than the Focus!.

So is the Sonatas. There are a few pop snaps as well, but there is DS tape and part of velcro too.

 

I just traded in a 2013 Optima LX for a 2013 SE and there is no comparison between the 2. Sontata is just much nicer.
