Less then 2 years ago I got her with about 10k miles on here

On another note. I am getting a Genisis coupe. So here is the story. I still have 2 years to pay off the sonata 1st. My uncle in new york cant hang to a car longer then 2 years. He gets an itch. He is just about ready to get a new car now. he always asks if I want to buy his last car. So I told him the other day I wanted him to buy a V-6 Genisis coupe with a manual tranny. So I could buy it off of him. After a litttle debate. He agreeded to buy a Genisis coupe 4 cyl turbo manual. Mainly cause he has a truck he just tradded in a few months ago and rolled over 3k on to this car. Thats he is goign to pay before getting the coupe. So in about 2 years I will have a genisis coupe with low milage. haha counting down the days haha!

V, you would need the Track Version though? I had a 2.5 Turbo Subaru & the Sonata has more power!

There are seven basic Genesis Coupe configurations:

* 2.0T
* 2.0T Premium
* 2.0T Track (6-speed manual transmission only)
* 2.0T R-Spec (late availability, 6-speed manual transmission only)
* 3.8
* 3.8 Grand Touring
* 3.8 Track

Kinda off topic from the original post, but still along the lines of the direction its heading... lol

I got the opportunity to drive an Infiniti G35 yesterday (not a new G37, not sure what year it was tho) because we got one in as a trade in (yup, for a Genesis sedan :thumbsup: ). Anyway, I thought the G35 was nothing but hype. Boy was I ever wrong. That car is probably the most fun car I've ever driven (with traction control OFF of course :innocent: ). Keep in mind that I've owned nothing but front wheel drive cars, and nothing really spectacular at that, so a rear wheel drive car with great handling characteristics and enough power to break the rear end loose at will is a FANTASTIC experience.

My point... Since this is what they used to benchmark the Genesis Coupe, I am even MORE excited about the debut of the car in the US. If the Gen Coupe is anything close to an Infiniti G35 or 37 then I will most certainly have to have one. Granted, I'll probably stay in trouble with it, but I'll still have to have one... lol. :3gears:

Several reviews I have read state how remarkably similar the handling characteristics are between the Gen Coupe and the G37. Some say if they weren't sure they were in a Hyundai they'd swear it was the Infiniti because it has exactly the same feel.

Also counting the days... :hyper:

Talked to my salesman yesterday. He said the V8 Genisus Coupe should be out by spring. I am counting the days!!!!!!!!!
I am going to get one as soon as the hype and prices come down a little on the coupe i keep my cars two years and get a new one. I want the maxed out coupe with the V6 not the 4 cycl. Will they offer a Nav in the coupe?

That should be very interesting since the Genesis Coupe will only be available with a turbo I4 or a V6. I'm assuming you meant the V6.
My salesman said they are coming out with a V8 Genesis Coupe. I'll take him at his word for now, but will wait and see. From what I have read in the past, Hyundai claims that the coupe will be available with the opitional V8

That would be why hes nothing more than a salesman :trophy: the genesis coupe will only be avalible in a 2.4 a 2.4 turbo and a 3.8L V6.Theres no V8 the 4.8L V8 is only for the Genesis sedan sorry to break it to ya

I wonder why the change, I could swear I read in the early releases that the coupe would be available with the V8 option. Sounds like a waste of a coupe to me.
Originally, that was the plan. However, they couldn't fit the V8 into the coupe without major modification and straying even further from the original design. So we'll only get the I4 and V6 in the coupe; and the V6 and V8 in the sedan. Guess we'll have to wait for the next generation and hope for the best (if V8's aren't extinct altogether by that time).

There will only be two engine offerings in the Coupe: a 2.4L turbocharged 4 cylinder in the lower models, and a 3.8L V6 in the upper models.

There will NOT be a V8 in the Coupe. It was considered briefly but they decided against it WAY before the car ever went into production, and for two reasons: 1) because the car would have had to be seriously redesigned to make it fit, and 2)because it would have made the car more nose-heavy, affecting the weight balance and the handling characteristics.

The engine offerings in the Genesis sedan are the 3.8L V6 (a slightly detuned version of the Coupe's 3.8L V6) and the 4.6L V8.

there is going to be that much difference between the coupe and the sedan???? One the think that the front end would be the same with the cabin and rear being different. That is unless the coupe is going to be front wheel drive where the sedan is rear wheel drive. Confusing to say the least.

hey everytime I come to this forum I see you bashing the Sonata, do you have a life? Or do you have serious mental issues?
Yes and yes.

I thought that was a pretty bash-free post I made up there. Sonatas aren't fast, and V33's is probably going to be ready for the junkyard if (big if!) it survives another two years of abuse. I was just curious if he was going to try and foist it off onto some poor schmoe who'll inherit all his questionable engineering 'mods' or if he's going to keep it to drive to work and back and/or let it rot in his backyard.

The V6 Sonata has a TON of power. Faster than my 110 HP Turbo Colt, my Big Block Dodge Charger, and faster than my Turbo

Subaru Forrester, except off the line. Leave V alone!

Well it wasnt bash-free considering you keep saying Slownata on every single one of your posts. Im sure your other cars are very fast, I mean they are probebly rockets right? A 91 miata, wow that sure is fast! :sarcasm:

Google "Genesis Coupe" and look at the pics. They're all over the internet. The Coupe looks NOTHING like the Genesis Sedan from the front OR the rear. Pretty much the only thing they share is rear wheel drive architecture and part of the name.

Wow, again. I havent even posted on here in a week and the crap on my posts still continue and it wasnt even a racing post. Thanks guys for sticking up for me. But dont worry he is just jelious that his Slownata isnt as fast as mine. As for the Sonata not being fast thats simply just not the case here. Its pretty quick and holds its own pretty well. He will prob respond with some story about how he has some decked out girly tib or somethign that can take my sonata. However a tibby is yet to take the Sonata out!!! On another note. I plan on keeing my Sonata for a very very long time as for it taking my abuse its all about maintaining your car Prenuim lube and regular oil changes ect. will keep the car running "during my abuse." for years and years to come! So you dont have to worry about my car ending up as a trade or in your friends garage with my hacked up backyard mechanic mods. The only time you'll see it is in magizines and pix! ;) :banana: :banana: :banana:

I sure as heck didn't buy a Sonata (took a lot of effort to leave the "L" out there!) to go fast. Heck I woulda got the 4-cyl version but the wife preferred the look of the fake dual exhaust back bumper so we got the V6. For my purpose it only has to get to 75 MPH so I can set the cruise control and get to where I'm going. Yours is faster than mine? Well, [lumbergh]that's great[/lumbergh].

FWIW Miatas aren't fast either. They're not supposed to be fast. They're supposed to be fun and boy are they. I have more fun in a 45 MPH corner than V33 has on a 152 MPH straight line. Trust me. I'm not "jelious".

So basicly you are trying to tell me at 45mph you have more fun then I do at 150+mph. Dont think so! I love doing 150mph and its alot of fun :) BTW next time you want to crack out the "my car is better/more fun then yours car card" pick something other then 3 girly mazda's! ROFL!

perhaps.......? AE86 FTW!! :banana:

OK I'll amend my point. My cars don't have to be more fun than yours, they just have to be fun for me. If yours are fun for you, or maybe even more fun than mine are to me, we both win.

The Toyota looks nice but it has a roof so I wouldn't want it. Hope it treats you well.

PS have to throw this in
