It would be nice to have a collection of pictures of all the members sonatas with aftermarket rims. I'm currently on the look out for some rims and i'm having a hard time deciding, might help me and others decide if you can post pictures of your cars with aftermarket rims.

Please list size of rims, tires, brand, fitment issues etc etc. Thanks!

hey guys if you guys are going to do mesh go with the bbs lm replica's, these look great even for a guy like me who's into genuine multi piece wheels!

19x8.5 +40 19x9.5 +40, stretch them tires a bit and lower it! your jaws will be droppin! let's do this right!

I'm not sure a 19x9.5 +40 will fit in the well, especially dropped.

Not saying it's not possible, it would look amazing, but not sure it will fit without rolling the fender. With my 8.5" and 245/40-19 I was rubbing with nobody else in the car.

Like those a lot. To me it depends on the color of car. If I had a white sonata, I would rock those in a heartbeat and blacken all the chrome trim.
i have a pacific blue GLS
originally i was looking at a hyper sliver color wheel but i saw a BMW the other day sort of the same color with all black wheels and i fell in love with it

something along these lines

my blue is darker than that though

your running 35 series now with no stretch right?

it was rubbing for u because you at 40 series tires with zero stretch.

215 35 19 on the 8.5 and 225 35 19 on the 9.5, stretch em go for the vip style look!

all black is a bit to sporty for the yf, but that's just my opinion.

but I suggest to anyone, stay away from tuner style and try to stick to vip style!

are you 100% sure on this or is it your "theory"?

I would love to get 9.5" on the rear (no ****) but I will be lowering for sure, dont' want to have the problem ayces had. So 35 series tires will solve this problem? Got a link for the bbs replicas?

no **** haha glad you clarified that!

yeah I'm positive, that is assuming you will let the natural camber remain and not correct the camber once you lower it.

I had 18x9 +40 and by eye balling it, I had about 10mm before passing the quarter panel; and this is on stock height.

a drop will give you at least 10mm more room to play with, also our yf's have a shaved quarter panel (from the factory like mercedes) so there is nothing to get in the way with the tire. It's all clear on the inside, nothing to modify....19x9.5 +42 should be no probs. it will look very very good.

those bbs replica's are all over here in so cal but you'll have hit up ebay in florida. 5x114.3 bolt pattern and make sure the center bore is 72-73mm universal.

Guess it's just I'm not a fan of the stretched look. I loved the 245's and think the 225's now are a bit weak, 215 would (to me) look bad. I do know a lot of people who like that look though.

Personally if I was going 9.5 I would want a 275 for the tire, but that's just what I like. Stock AMG tires (CLS63) are 255/35/19 front (8.5) and 285/30/19 rear (9.5)

No way those would fit on our cars though.

Now that I am thinking about it you are probably right. With only a 225 on a 9.5 it just might work. Guess I just never think about going with that much stretch on a wheel.
