I have had my car for a little over 2 months and finally had the time to detail it. Meguiar's Gold Class shampoo, Blackfire Total Seal And Polish, Blackfire Crystal Sealant. My car is Moonstone Silver and even though silver does not "pop" like other colors the car looks great.
I have concluded that the only way to keep this car showroom new is to never leave the driveway. I saw a small piant chip on the hood, a small chip around where the fog light is, and 2 light scrach marks on the exterior black plastic. I have been parking the car out of danger in parking lots and still the scratch marks so it has to be from something on the roads.
But what surprised me the most is a bunch of scuff marks from the safety belt buckle. The plastic area going up the pillar is all marked up from the belt buckle. And I do not just let it retract on its own I try to hand hold it as it is retracting but I guess the plastic is so easy to mark up that even with the hand holding the buckle must have been hitting the plastic.
I have had many cars and this is by far the most easily scratchable plastic trim that I have seen in my cars. Do other people see this on their cars? And let this be a warning to others that it looks like you really have to hand hold the buckle itself as it is retracting to prevent any scuff markings on the black plastic.
