Hello,
I need a dash kit for my 2007 VeraCruz GLS. The radio is being replaced at Besty Buy but they do'nt carry the kit any longer. I went to Metra but their kit for the 2007 Vera Cruz only fits the Limited with Automatic Temp Control.
I looked online and I can't find one. does anyone here have any information that can help me. I don't want to go for the 300-500 wood replacement...just a basic kit so I can put a new radio so I can use my Ipod.
I do'nt want an FM mod, they suck. I don't want the Unversal product because the installer at Best Buy said that they get returned all the time because they die.
any help will be appraciated. I am tired of paying for Sirius radio.

If you're adventurous, go here, seem to have a nice double-din replacement bezel, but I could not get better pictures of it, and don't want to risk paying $110 for something I can't see well.

I ordered the OEM part from Hyundai to put in an Alpine INA-W910, just so it looks just-so. $270 with tax!! for a piece of plastic!

A kit does exist!!

I was about to give up on this (making my wife very unhappy, therefore me unhappy LOL) but I found a kit that WILL work. Here is the link

2010-Up Hyundai Veracruz (Manual HVAC) In-Dash Install Kit

It says 2010 and up however, if you look at the PDF manual under download, it says 2007 and up! I called scosche.com and spoke with a tech and he conformed that it will work! :) Retail is around $80 but you can find it cheaper elsewhere if you shop around. Quality seems much better that metralink stuff as well.

Anyhow, I joined this forum just to post this. I will follow up with the install to let you know how it went. Thanks!

the silver color is nearly the same, maybe a tad darker but it's extremely close and you would only tell side by side. The main difference is that the stock bezel has a subtle vertical"brushed" look to it whereas the aftermarket is a solid silver color. I took pics with my cell phone (not very great) but you can see what I mean. I would say it's 99% there and no one would tell. The important part is that it fits perfectly a looks great!

Thank you for the feed-back. I'm planning on purchasing a kit in-case I decide to upgrade the head-unit in the future. I know it's very difficult to match colors (even the OEM panels have variation in color) but the texture of many kits are not even close to the OEM texture even thought the kit manufactures make claims to the contrary.

trying to change out my stock hyundai single disk player to the 6disk infinity.hook it up and everything worked except i could not adjust the speakers. i could hear them very low but could not adjust the voliume. what do i need to do thanks jim
The Infinity system has an external amplifier, therefore that head-unit's output is "line-level" not "amplified".

on the subject...but, not specific to this particular thread. i don't like the navigation in my '08 at all. it's basically very archaic and uninspiring and embarrassing when it can't find the road - especially when i'm ON IT! so..my question is, can i find a factory infinity head unit...and swap them, without too much hassle? anyone have a clue about this?

The Infinity system speakers are usually powered by an external amplifier..... so it depends on how the factory Nav is incorporated into the vehicle (Nav unit built-in amplifier or pre-amp outputs)...... then comes the connections to the vehicle wiring harness (the connector could be Nav head-unit specific or installed with an adapter harness to the original connectors). You would basically have to pull the unit to confirm the status of the above mentioned. Finally, hopefully your Veracruz has the Automatic Climate control because the Infinity system (head-unit) is an integral part of the entire panel. Maybe it would be a lot easier to replace the current head-unit with an after-market Nav, Media-center or basic double-din unit. Some pictures would help a great bit in answering many of your questions with a bit more certainty.

i can get pictures of the unit in it's current installed state. i know it's an infinity system, with 'surround'...and yes, i have auto climate control. it's a limited model...with navigation. i have the original sticker....i'll pull it and see exactly what's in there.

3. Install wireless rear camera - In progress
4. Install kit to reuse existing steering wheel controls (volume, mode) - In progress
I will post pictures when done.

Did you physically check that the unit will not fit? "Din/Double Din" is a standard size with regards to width and height, depth can vary a bit depending on manufactures/models. 7" screen usually mean that there is minimal controls on the face of the unit (eg. lower edge) therefore allowing for a larger display. Which head-unit are you referring to?
