For me I'd say it's the HID headlights. I had a CR-V with horrible headlights and said never again. Bad headlights are a safety hazard. The AEB was runner up but almost tied the HID's.

Wife wanted the panoramic sunroof. End of story.

 

The panoramic sunroof and the ventilated seats and the braking system. I've still yet to see the Dynamic Bending Lighting
System (DBLS). Maybe mine's not working. I used to have a Mazda 3 with it and I definitely noticed it on that car but not on this one.

 

Wanted a car that doesn't have those blank plates that should have a button that should have something if its fully equipped. But on mine, they made even more blank spaces...

The reason why i chose a Tucson in the first place was the Panoramic Sunroof, Ventilated seats and reclining back seats

Reason why i got the full spec is so i can stand out over the basic matte trimmed, 16 inch wheeled and white company car Tucsons (No offence to the company car Tucsons owners).

Surprisingly there are more Range Rovers and Mercedes on the road than Hyundai's let alone the Tucson. Heck we are rarer than Bentleys :3

 

I pick mine up this Friday, but the primary reason was the AEB system(would have liked adaptive cruise as well) ...and the Pano Roof doesn't hurt -could care less about the headlights. Since my wife is going through "that change" those ventilated seats might be very handy! Gotta keep her happy ...and cool.

In Canada, our Limited has the Sunroof and HID light bending headlights. No need to go up to the Ultimate. Is it not the same in the USA? Our limited doesn't have the automatic braking or lane departure warning. No ventilated front seats either, which I would have liked. But it wasn't worth the extra $2600 to me.

 

Nope, not the same in the USA. If I had realized so many things were included in the Ultimate package, I definitely would have tried harder to make the finances work for it.

 

All of the safety features plus the rear heated seats for the kiddos ... the pano sunroof was just an added plus.

 

As for me the AEB, LED+the rest..$2500 is only equals to $25 in monthly payments...NBD and i like fully loaded vehicles...it is also good in resale then

 

The only feature in the Ultimate Package that's even remotely worth the $2500 price tag, strictly on a monetary basis of course, is the panoramic sunroof. No single other feature or minor combination of other smaller features/options in the Ultimate Package are even close to being worth $2500.

That being said, my favorite features in the Ultimate Package are the killer headlamps (I hate poor/dim headlights), the ventilated front seats (my back is always sweating in the car in hot weather), and the backup sensors that warn of pedestrians or cars when you're backing up.

But in all reality, I love ALL of the features added in with the Ultimate Package.

 

I love the panoramic sunroof - it's almost like having a convertible it's so big!
And one of my favorite things about this vehicle are the super cool 19" wheels. I get TONS of compliments on these rims.

The Canadian version is optioned differently.

My Limited has everything the US version Ultimate has except vented seats, auto break and LED head lights. All my other lights including interior are LED.

I love the HID lights so I stuck with Limited.

My wife's looking...and thinking of upgrading. I think it's the push start/stop feature that's blowing her dress up. This gets her a free pass not to "dig" around the bottom of her bag looking for keys.

For me, I would like her to have the emergency braking feature so I would not feel like I'm going to die somewhere en route to our destination when she is driving.

 

We did not end up buying a Tucson, but if we had, it would have been the Ultimate....More so for the panoramic roof and the ventilated seats. Really have no clue what the other trims offered as we only looked/test drove the ultimate trim level.

 

My reasons are all except panoramic sunroof and rear heated seats.

The sunroof is nice but I rarely use it.

 

The pano roof was the driving factor for getting Ultimate. Now it's the only pain point.

 

You get to see the system work on dark, winding roads much better. When I drive my wife's Honda, I can really tell the difference when going around curves. It's second place to the AEB system.

+1 What he said. Not a Tucson, but I could really enjoy them on my 2027 Elantra Ultimate on a trip to Virginia through the winding roads of the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee.

 

Safety features (Automatic Emergency Braking ( AEB ), Cross Traffic Alert, Blind spot monitoring), Pano roof, Heated / Ventilated seats, everything else was a bonus!

Genuine excellent value for all you get.

 

I would have liked everything else, but I didn't want the panoramic roof.
1) I live in central Texas where it easily gets over 100 degrees in the summer, a glass roof would turn my car into an easy bake oven.
2) I use a car top carrier on long trips, so it's useless to me when I travel out of the Texas heat.

 

The Austin heat can be unbearable but the interior sun shield does quite a good job of keeping the heat out. To me the "Ultimate" is just a good bargain for all that you get and not knocking the one's who didn't check that box.

 

Agreed. Here in South Florida it's hot. Yesterday I was in the car for an hour and a half in stop and go traffic with a temp of 90 degrees. I had the AC on auto at 80 degrees and turned the ventilated seat on and was comfortable. I am impressed with how cool the cabin stays overall.

 

Definitely the AEB. The other features are nice, but you could remove any two other Ultimate features and I would still have gotten it for the AEB alone. remove the AEB and I would probably have purchased a different vehicle altogether.

I chose the Ultimate package because of the safety features. But really like the cooled front seats and heated rear seats for the kids. Everyone deserves warm buns in the winter.

The sunroof was the selling feature of it. When I walked in the dealer, I told them I wanted the sunroof, but when I saw it, I knew that I had to have it. The AEB was just the icing on the cake, as the other car I was considering was the Subaru Forrester which also had AEB.

I like the larger display and the AEB system which I have not yet "tested"

I also think that the additions are definately worth the $2,500.
