Rear speaker volume

Had to have the head unit replaced. Now the rear speaker volume is < 1/2 what the fronts are. Have to set fader to R5/6 to balance them out.
I know the originals did not display this off setting feature.
Go to Settings -> Sound -> Position and switching between front and read and the rears are 1/3 - 1/2 of the volume.
Looking for feedback on other's systems.

Thank You,
Doug

BTW: Battery would not hold a charge. replaced the battery and Blue Link stopped working. Signal strength was there but would not connect. Rec'd an error to the effect the subscription was invalid. 2-3 hours on phone with blue link, 3 trips to dealer and 2 months to get properly diagnosed and the head unit replaced. But hey, at least it wasn't on a flat bed and vanishing oil.

Not sure what model year or what system you have, but I have a 2021 Limited Hybrid with the BOSE CenterPoint system, and the rear speakers have ALWAYS had a lot less volume than the fronts. I hate it and several other people have left negative comments as well. I've been told it's normal. What's worse to me is that moving the balance more to the rear takes all the "oomph" out of the midrange, and it's hard to get that back with a 3-position equalizer. Power chords sound limp-wristed and vocals can get lost sometimes. I have my system set at midrange +4 and bass + 4 to try to compensate. (I don't use the CenterPoint DSP).

Maybe it depends on what model year car / head unit you have or had. Some people seem to love the Bose system and CenterPoint.

Hanging out with the Bose Ballers. I have the SEL Plus, no Bose.

So yea, maybe front is "supposed" to be louder than rear but not to this degree. I want to be enveloped and I can not recall ever having a car that was outfitted with a 1/2 decent system having such bias towards the front. I KNOW the original head unit did not. Unless I put the fader on r3/4 one wouldn't even know there are speakers back there.

An upside is the new system does not require the cable for Android Auto.

I have 2022 Tucson, and the rear speaks are 10% of the front, I am told this is normal and how they are supposed to be (I have got into other Tucsons to check and it is the way they are set). I ended up putting in a sub to help fill out the sound. it's really crap for such a great car. I hope Hyundai fixes it in the future with a software patch.
