Just found projector headlights with led drl's. The best part is that it has "dot markings"! I am really thinking about purchasing these, they look pretty legit and if they are dot certified, consider them bought!

Been covered and talked about in other posts. Most of us decided to hold on this. Concerns about proper fitment (non-oem headlights are well known for crapping fits), not liking the halos etc. Happy to have some 3rd party aftermarket support as this car NEEDS PROJECTORS. If you decide to pull the trigger keep us posted on the outcome :)

Just shot them an email asking about a bunch of things including fitment, installation, and legality. I will keep you posted.

reply from KAI

Just received the reply from the company today. Very quick and informative response, great customer service! Here are the questions and his answers to them. I sent another email asking about any promotions or even a potential group buy here on the forum. I'll keep you guys posted.

I was looking at 2011 + Accent LED CCFL Projector Euro Style Headlights
for my Accent and wanted to know a little bit about them.

I'll be glad to assist

Are these
pre-made and just plug and play?

Correct, they are aftermarket lights pre-assembled ready for plug and play
on most models in most regions.

Is there any wiring required?

These lights are plug and play for North American models

Are these
legal in the united states?

Yes

What is the return policy?

Please click the "easy returns" tab (orange) in our homepage header to
read our full return policy.

How do the led
lights, halo's and everything work? Are the led's on all the time like
drl's?

The LED's activate with the parking lights, this way you can use them
during the day without the low beams needing to be on. However, the LED's
will also be on when the low beams are turned on at night.

I am very interested in these lights but
before spending $500, i have to be comfortable with them.

Understood. If you have any further questions feel free to ask.

We hope to do business with you soon.

Thanks,

Joshua

Here's the "Easy Return" policy:

Non Returnable Products & Services:

The following products cannot be returned/exchanged due to manufacturer's policies or their made-to-order custom features:
  • Electrical / Lighting Items (Including OE Modified Headlights and/or Taillights)
  • Installed Product (no exceptions)
So, apparently ALL electrical / lighting items are NON-RETURNABLE, as well as anything that has been installed. So, you install something, find out it doesn't work - TOO BAD!

Thanks for catching that, didn't even have the sense to go looking through the return policy like he said in the email. That makes me a little bit uneasy:mellow:

Can we combine the 20% and the 10% off :D. LOL probably not. But I'm down for the group buy.

#14 ·
Ok, cool.:)

#15 ·
Go forth and test for us scared (me) to pull the trigger :D

#16 ·
I'm just as scared as you:)

#17 ·
I'm in also. I wonder if they would send out one pair to let one of us test fit and then we could proceed with the group buy or maybe refer us to someone who's installed a pair and they could let us know how they fit and work for them?

#18 ·
I'll ask him tomorrow.

When spending $500 on anything, it had better be backed in writing by the mfgr, as well as any retailer. Rediculous! I would seriously wait for another supplier to get backing from the mfgr., or wait for someone else to produce a similar product that is backed in writing.

#20 ·
I completely agree. However, if we can get enough people, I can try to get him to go down to $300, which would make me a bit more comfortable.

How many people do we have so far? If i can get a headcount, i can ask him about pricing. The more people we have, the better the price. I would like to get it down to $300, but we need a lot of people for that.

#28 ·
Are these headlights H4? That would be good news.
