Ok, late last night I confirmed that the wiring IS already run to the mirrors plugs and that both the signal wire and defroster wires work! So today I ordered these: [Hyundai Accent]Factory OEM LED Side Repeater Light Mirrors Full Set - 4p | eBay

Its for the whole mirror assembly (both sides), so the whole thing should be pretty much a plug-n-play installation. And although the listing does not state whether or not they have heated mirrors, I am thinking that they are because the plug socket looks like it has the pin for it, which will be awesome for winters in western Pa.

They should be here in a month or so...... :(

Wahoo! One step closer. My mirrors made it throught customs today, I should have them this week! Hopefully I will get a chance to install them this coming weekend, but being Easter weekend and all, who knows.

THEY'RE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't wait, so I put them on this afternoon. And they are Plug-n-Play! Unbolt the old ones, bolt on the new ones. I took it one step further and switched the mirrors so I wouldn't be looking at Korean symbols every time I look at them.

Basically, push in the inner side of the mirror (so its like pointing inward toward the car), then get your fingers in between the back of the mirror and the housing, then give a GOOD yank. It takes quite a bit of force to POP the mirror loose. When you push the mirror back in place make sure you get the clips lined up right.

Everything was perfect on arrival, and here way faster than expected.

Hey all I know I am a sonata owner but I have been following this post.

So from my understanding, your car did not have signal lights on mirrors? So, you brought these and they were plug in play?

If so, do you know if they have one for the sonata?

Thanks! and AWESOME!

You would be correct. The US RB Accents do not come with LED's or heated mirrors. The Mirrors I purchased are OEM for the Korean model. Since they are OEM they are basically Plug-n-Play. So my assumption would be if there are OEM LED mirrors availible for your model then they would be as easy as mine. Although, you should check to make sure that the wiring is already run up to the mirror connectors like it was on the RB Accent, otherwise you would have to custom wire them in.

They look amazing! I want them badly.

No heated mirrors, but is looks like the wiring is there for the Auto Folding feature thats also not alvailible on the US models.

I have to say that on my way to work this morning, I felt a whole lot safer, knowing that people have a better chance of seeing my turn signals since they are up and away from the headlights.

Hi guys,

Meickey here from the Philippines...

I just had my side mirrors retrofitted with an OEM Side Repeaters. All you need is an OEM cover & OEM Led Repeaters.

You can get it from this guy. I know him, his young and very nice to talk with. And you can trust him.

Hyundai 2011 2012 ACCENT SOLARIS Side Mirror Repeater Lamp + Cover 2EA OEM Parts | eBay

And since wiring harness isn't available, you can purchase a 2 PIN JST connector, in w/c I got mine from ebay also:

10 x Micro JST 1.25 2-Pin Male , Female Connector plug w/.Wire | eBay

You only need the female JST Connector. We will need it to plug it in into the LED Repeaters. Negative & Positive terminals on Repeater side is labeled but was too small. Make it sure you inserted the JST connector in the right direction. Also, on my case, I have to shave off the guide slots on the JST connector. Make it sure also that the wires leading to the LED repeaters will run through the rubber seal. If you failed to put on the rubber seal, moisture could get inside the repeater, esp. on cold/rainy days... You don't want to see moisture on those beautiful LEDs...

Next is you need around 1 Ft. of gauge 18 or gauge 22 wires (2 colors, of course of your choice, one is for positive, and the other is for negative), then we have to look for male socket pins. Please see picture below

Then, I will attached the installtion process in PDF. I prepared it to my customers here in the philippines. I have retrofitted more 20 plus units on Elantra & Accent. Elantra MD is a bit tricky, while our accent would be a bit easy...

In the philippines including custom taxes, I spent around 85USD all in all. Not bad at all. Our car dealer couldn't even figure out how to install it...

Here is my accent by the way...

Hi all,

I bought my repeater cover & LEDS on eBay. Everything was good as far as color, 2 left & 2 right parts, etc.

I also ordered the Micro JST connectors based on the link provided below.

They don't fit my LED. What am I missing? Ive gone to every local electronics shop, went to the dealer (which is completely useless, I'll never deal with them again) and nobody can even tell me what connector I need.

Ive had my repeaters since christmas eve, just got the Micro JST connectors, and their 2x too small for the LED.

Was it a mistake buying this?

If you had both heated side mirrors and turn signals, how would the wiring work? Would you tie the negative terminals together somehow? The wiring diagram says that both use terminal 7 for negative.
You are correct. Both would use the same black wire (terminal 7) for the ground.

To be honest I wouldn't worry about it to much since its a ground line. If you use plastic splicers, you should be good. If you solder the grounds then I would use heat shrink or electrical tape to cover the exposed wires.

YES! I just ordered a pair of OEM heated mirror components from a seller in Korea, $26 shipped! The only draw back is the lettering on the face is korean not english, but I can live with that.

My guess would be a dealer. They have to be availble in the north american market because they have them Canada and our cars are wired for them. Probably just a matter of getting the part number. If I could get them I would, frost here can be bad.
