I dont think the 2008 Sonatas will get a facelift, maybe things like folding mirrors but thats about it. Also If there was to be a facelift it should be on the 2009 Sonata and a complete redesign for 2012 or 2013! Imagine how it would look like

My Predictions for the 2012 Sonata are it will get:
Adaptive Xenon Headlights
LED Tailights (Standard)
Navigation System
10-12 speaker premium sound system
Probebly a 290-305 HP Engine
Quad tipped Exhaust Outlets
6 or 7 Speed SHIFTRONIC Transmission
18" Alloy Rims

These are some of my predictions what do you guys say? Anyone think Im stretching it LoL
Maybe by then Hyundai will have a performance division such as Toyota has with TRD but who knows

My Predictions for the 2012 Sonata are it will get:
Adaptive Xenon Headlights
LED Tailights (Standard)..............yes probably
Navigation System.......possible option
10-12 speaker premium sound system..........unlikely
Probebly a 290-305 HP Engine.........not going to happen
Quad tipped Exhaust Outlets............possibly
6 or 7 Speed SHIFTRONIC Transmission........possibly
18" Alloy Rims.........possibly
These are some of my predictions what do you guys say? Anyone think Im stretching it LoL

The reason for my comments is that hyunday has higher end models to sell and those will have all of the above features and to provide the Sonata with those would defeat their marketing efforts.

I suck at photo shop so your just gonna have to follow my direction.

3rd link to photo down shows a view of the pass side front end. If you look at the fender, above the side turn signal there looks like a change to the shape. Pops out a bit??? See it??? looks like a piece of the fender not a glued on rubber piece to throw off the look. Hope someone see's what the **** I'm talking about.

PS Ive seen some spy photos before....these suck. Did this guy get paid for these?..lol

Guess your right, but im just saying the engine might have 290 HP because the current camry already has 260 and mostly all cars this generation have gotten 20-30 HP upgrades from ther previous generation. But who knows :)

I like the wheels personally, but that a personal taste..I guess though some of you are right about it being too early for a facelift, maybe this is a 2009 or 2010 model then. I know the pictures don't show much but I thought it might be interesting to look at anyway's..silkeeeeone I saw the same thing with the fender too, that's why I thought some might find this interesting to look at.

I don't think it's a 2008 model but they must have definitely changed something, why else would they cover it up ? If they didn't make any significant body changes they would just drive it around and nobody would know any difference. That's the way I'm seeing it anyway.

Changing the cars every few years is very wise in my opinion. I think that's why US auto makers lag in sales. People always want the newest and best so Foreign companies give us what we want. Look at the Taurus and Malibu, took them 10 years to change. Hyundai's on the right track or most of us wouldn't be in here at all.I think they were really testing the waters with the 4G and now that they know it's a winner we can see more options and goodies!

As far as I'm concerned you can file a lot of that stuff to "whup dee doo". Why there is this big obsession over "upgrades" like LED taillights is beyond me.

Don't see a regular ol generic four-door sedan needing any more HP
Four-tipped exhaust is a joke on the same car

they might be options but I don't think that many people will be interested in that stuff on a Sonata so Hyundai might not even bother with a lot of it.

You are right about the performance parts thingee. But by then who knows maybe hyundai will have a performance manufacturer like Nissan has with Nismo. Also another reason for putting all this stuff in a sonata is remember Hyundai is moving up market and slowly into the luxury market. It will take time, but who knows the future

Well if you stop and think about it, at least in my mind the aftermarket has gave sonata owners the choice to buy LED lights and if the numbers are high for the sale of the LED lights , then why would Hyundai not want to embrace the LED light trend? Also if you stop and think, the 07 Honda accord sedan and coupe have LED lights from what I've seen on the Honda accords driving around in my state and doesn't hyundai want to more or less beat these cars in sales, so if LED lights are the "hot in thing" then I believe hyundai would want LED lights..

I think the sonata looks great with LED lights and that is one of my future upgrades to my sonata, If I walked into a Hyundai dealer and had the chance to buy a sonata with LED lights then I would. I think most people my age would want LED lights, Anything that is flashy yet affordable is kool to me as long as it doesn't look cheap and the LED lights look good with a modest price...

Hyundai doesn't have to provide LED taillights cause the few who want them seem to be quite willing to take perfectly working parts off their cars and replace them with essentially the same thing.

The Azera has LED tail lights. Several other models had/have LED 3rd brake lights. For the consumer it makes perfect sense - LEDs are brighter, come on instantly, and last 100 times longer than any bulb. With a regular bulb, if it goes out half of your brakes lights are gone. Not so with LEDs.
