Changed my oil today and check the air filter. I noticed that there is oil on the air filter, so I'm thinking the PCV valve is bad (car has 136,000 miles). I want to check it but I'm not sure where it's located. Does anyone know where it's located (pictures would be great) and how involved it is to replace? Thanks!

Great post thanks anybody have information about the 3.3 L from the 2006 or seven that would be great plus the EGR said anything that serviceable or what the old days you could just take those things off of various cars and just throw a new one on there and do they throw Code to PCV valve issues and EGR or whatever they’re called now Sorry this is voice to text on regular iPhone without any additional application yet do you EGR and a PC valves throw out any kind of codes if there’s an issue with them

I replaced the PCV valve on my 2006 V-6 while I was doing a front valve cover gasket replacement this past spring. ~152k miles at replacement. Bought the part on Amazon, an Auto 7 manufactured device and was of high quality. The original valve still seemed to be in fine shape. I did the standard "shake and rattle" test and could hear the internal check valve rattling around just fine. The replacement did not benefit my engine performance in any way, was hoping for maybe a little better gas mileage or noticeable power boost but it did not happen.
