"Pairing Failed" and Priority

Hey gang,

After weeks of "pairing failed" when I get into my vehicle, I again deleted the pairing on my phone and re-paired and now it seems to be working. I'm not sure what the deal is, but it was super annoying and I changed nothing on my phone or my vehicle.

HOWEVER,

I find the fact that the radio won't prioritize the phone sounds when I use google maps, very annoying. My wife has a 2012 Mitsubishi and while the phone is connected, if listening to the radio, it will cut out to play the phone sound for map voice directions.

Is there a setting that I'm missing here, (I went through the whole menu and found nothing) because right now I have to set manually to the "phone" input in order to hear this.

Thanks in advance!

I am not an IPhone owner but you can blame Apple. They keep changing their specification as new products are release. Manufacturers won't update the software because the phones connection specification change. This is nothing new as its been going on for some time.

I was in a Toronto Jeep Dealership getting warranty work done. They had a printout of smartphone which would not work with their Uconnect enable units. I kinda of chuckled reading it. Clearly even they weren't going to invest in having an update done to fix the problems.

You guys can make a suggestion in the Board Comments and Feedback threads. These settings may be able to be adjusted, up to main admins I suppose. In the meantime it's best to upload documents to a service like google drive and just put a link in thread.
