It does look good, but I have found that my tow bar works well too.

 

It has nothing to do with towing.....its a protector for the trunk lip

I do see that it is sold by Sherwood automotive and I have seen some negative reports of them on this forum

 

The Australian towbar has to have a piece cut out of the lower plastic bumper and so this would stop you fitting this if you have a towbar.
I do like the look of it, although there is another one with fake dual exhausts which I think looks good.

 

My apologies, I should have been clearer I meant the part that goes between the tailgate and the bumper, see pic below

when I purchased my ix34 Highlander in Australia three years ago, it came with this Fabric Rear Bumber Protector. The attached image explains it all.

I have seen this one time on ebay, I did consider it briefly ,however like you I think I would hardly use it!
