Hello again, I just wondered if this strong smell of rubber (no not burning tires) or maybe chemical spray? and something else kind of burned smelling - definitely not the nice new car smell- sticks around a while after purchase?
I don't know if it is maybe specific to the upholstery in the N-line version or not. Some kind of treatment?
Anyway, if you had any thoughts on that, appreciated.
Meanwhile, I'm working to get a quote back to see if they will get close to a decent offer.
I have a feeling if their sales month closes tomorrow, even with the incentives through Monday, I might be out of luck.
But we shall see.

So a couple months to air that out or what do you think? I like the new car smell but this is beyond my last new car experience. But that was 20 years ago so I guess a lot more gas now.
I'm still communicating with my dealer and they offered me a very low price for my trade in, of course because it's ancient. Just trying for bottom line now, don't care so much about the line items. Initially, it was wayyy over, they even put that doc fee on there and really high.

Edit: well no deal from them, even though I'm sure offer was fair profit. Just no incentive I guess they are making their numbers. Maybe next time.

I absolutely loved how my N Line smelled, I wish it would last forever.

If you really want the car just get it. Too many people stress over the ‘right’ deal. Listen, you only live once. That’s my mantra now after surviving and mostly recovering from a major stroke 3.5 years ago.

Well, glad you got through it to enjoy the car!
The offer was probably better than I was suggesting after referencing another resource. I guess online pricing is a bit tighter than I knew, depending on brand of course.
So just didn't want to leave an impression that they didn't try to work with me. They did. I realized though that my old car was and is my fun car and to replace it with something modern and larger isn't really going to be a budget experience and might not even be as fun. It will definitely have tech though. I spent time to research how to put in a premium stereo system in the modern era car. I guess that doesn't exist any more unless you wipe out needed features of the infotainment. Anyway, back to checking the used market for now. I have a Subaru Impreza WRX 2002 with a lot of miles just so I can tell you what I found fun at one point. I might just find the boring commuter car and keep my old baby until it finally goes. Not getting much for it on trade.

Thanks, sometimes in life you need a wake up call, that was mine. Unfortunately some don’t get a second chance. I was fortunate. I’d like to think I’m healthier now that it happened, due to the extensive research and significant lifestyle and diet changes I made, I’m in my best shape since college 30 yrs ago.

The N Line is a lot of FUN as I’m sure a lot of owners here would agree, and it comes with a pretty good Bose sound system.
