After much talk about HID upgrade, but unwilling to spend the funds necessary, I decided on the next best thing - Nokya Hyper Purple H4 bulbs. Blue lights always look fake, since 4100 HIDs have purple hue halogens lack. So, anyway, ordered from Amazon.com for 17 bucks. Arrived today. Installed at lunch in about 5 minutes.

Fast forward about 6 hours, got dark, turned them on. Impressions - excellent. Low beam is white with purple hue. 90W lamps produce slightly more light than stock, so it compensates for tinted glass. Driving with them is excellent - road in front of you is actually white, not yellow. Was passed by a BMW with HIDs. Light color was almost identical at about 2/3 intensity.

I had SilverStars before, and I don't know why I paid 40+ USDs for them. Nokyas are light years ahead of the SSs, I strongly recommend them. Obviously I can't comment on longevity, since I just got them today, but will keep everyone posted. Meanwhile, if you're looking for HID alternatives, look no further. :)

And by 90W, you do of course mean that's what they're comparable to. I assure you they are not ACTUALLY 90W... My PIAA Xtreme White Plus bulbs are COMPARABLE to 110W bulbs, but they're still the same 45W/55W (i think those are the numbers) bulbs as the H4 standard.

Did you upgrade the harness?
I too was looking at some of these type buls ,but most were listed as being 80/100 watts,
whereas our factory ones are 55/60 watt, low beam high beam respectively.
I was worried about melting the wires .Maybe I'm just too cautious, but want to make sure I'm not going to ruin anything .

No, I still have the original harness - probably should upgrade, but I never had any issues in the past with bulbs like this, so I figured I'll take a chance.. :) Plus, the harness costs more than the bulbs.

Wait a second. So, I have a question. So, there are designed bulbs that are made that have a tint to look like HIDs that do not give you extra brightness? But, will not harm your harness or wires? So, basically, I can purchase these and they will be exactly like the bulbs I have now, but a different color?

-and by properties of electromagnetic energy, you can see better, without blinding people.

you can see better with the stock bulbs than with the white with any hint of purple or blue
