Hi Guys!, First post on the board. after 4 years with a 2013 Sonata turbo, I picked up a Santa Fe SEL. I was looking to add on the LED Headlights that the Limited and ultimate have. Anyone know how this would work? Would the entire housing have to be replaced, or just a simple bulb?

Would have been cheaper to just go up to the limited package and you would have got other extra stuff as well. It’s going to require more than just a bulb and likely more than just housings. I’m 99% sure it’s just not going to be plug and play. It has different power need etc.
Look up GTR Lighting.... You can get a kit and easy install. I would recommend HID vs. LED. It just works better for Projectors and better lighting overall. I do not know how easy it is to get into the housing of the Santa Fe since the headlights are low by the wheels. You have have to remove the front wheels and raise the car to get into the housing. The kit comes with lifetime warranty but cost around $299.

+1 on HIDs vs LEDs - The LEDs are brighter but the light doesn't travel as far as the HID systems. Planning on replacing mine next weekend when the kits come in.
Yeah - I was hoping a video was already available on youtube for the 2019 model. Installing HIDs are fairly easy and I'm hoping reaching them will be just as easy. Looks like we'll have to go through the wheel well to reach the headlights but I'm hoping that I can do so without actually removing the wheel.
HID Install
Took about 4 hours out of my time to install them but it was well worth it!
I'm not able to post pictures because my dumb @ss thought it was a good idea to place my phone on top of the cover for the radiator. Slammed the door closed and it slipped into a pocket between the radiator and the grill! Took a while for me to retrieve it and at that point I just wanted to get the HIDs in!
I first attempted to install through the engine bay but soon realized my hands were too fat and not nimble enough to remove and reinstall the bulbs. With that in mind, I went through the wheel well and turned the steering wheel accordingly to have better visibility. On top of the plastic plugs and one bolt that you see, there are 3 that are behind the wheel and 3 on the undercarriage that needs to be removed to open up the wheel well.
Based on my SEL, I saw the H11 fog lights in the bottom headlamp assembly / High Beam bulb was in the middle projector housing / HB3 Low Beam bulb was in the top projector housing. I replaced both my fog lights and low beams with a set I purchased from Amazon. Details below in links if you are interested.
Fog lights were fairly straightforward. Since we have dense fog in our neck of the woods, I went with a 3K bulb (Yellow Tint) If you want a cleaner look, you can go with the 6K bulb - took out the old halogen bulb and placed the HID bulb in and installed the ballasts. Test the system before you complete the install. I had to reverse the connection due to polarity issues. I attached the ballast using zip ties to a hole that was close to the wheel well cover.
Low Beams were replaced with 9005 HID bulbs. I removed the projector cover and used a 1 1/4 in auger bit to drill a hole into the cover. Next I used a file to smooth out some of the rough edges. I fished the bulb and connector through and used silicon adhesive to seal the rubber gasket to the projector cover. Same as fog lights, check before you finish the installation and test to see if you have to reverse the polarity. Installed the bulb and connected all the wires to the ballast. Once tested, I zip tied close to the side of the frame.

Any issues come up since your install? You chose 6000K lights, do you know the color temp of the DRLs? How do they match up with the LED drls? Same, bluer?
