You know what would be an interesting photo comparison to see? The difference the difference in the the area lit up when it is dark outside between the LED and the stock reverse lights when they are displayed on the touchscreen backup/birdseye camera view.

 

I didn't take pictures but the difference between both is huge. I would say that with the LED bulbs I put the backup display is too brighter for my liking. If I would know it beforehand I could have bought less powerful bulbs.

 

So I ordered the blinker bulb linked here but it didn't fit, the prongs from the oem bulbs were sorta angled while the ones from amazon was straight 180/360.. hope that make sense

 

show us the link of the ones you ordered. if it is the same ones i ordered they will fit.

Looks like you did it! A couple of questions:

1. So, did you cut into your wiring to do this?

2. Is your car throwing any fault/failure codes?

 

I used the same amber bulbs from Amazon. They fit and operate perfectly. BRIGHT AS BLAZES.

For turn signals, you absolutely have to get LEDs with integrated resistors or they will hyperflash. (Note, on extremely hot days it’s possible the resistor willl get so hot the LED will hyperflash anyway. I’ve seen it twice at temps over 95F. I learned to not use turn signals for long stops on very hot days.)

Add on resistors are a kludge. Look for turk signal LEDs that specifically say they have integrated resistors and will not hyperflash.

I’ve done all of the bulbs on a few cars but I have sworn off doing it to my Tucson despite it only being a few bulbs. And I don’t understand why a Limited does have LEDs all around.

If anyone follows the links some of us have posted to obtain the bulbs, this won't be a problem. I took delivery last August and changed my signal/reverse bulbs while the weather was still quite hot and can confirm there have been NO hyperflash issues whatsoever. Next summer will be the acid test, I suppose.

I assume you meant to say "why a Limited does not have LEDs all around".

The obvious answer is cost - every dollar saved is amplified many-fold as their production volume climbs. Based on the features and engineering you get with the Tucson for the price, it's a tremendous value and I for one do not begrudge them for their few scattered cost cutting measures.

 

Has anyone replaced the incandescent rear turn lamps to LEDs in Tucson N Line? The lamps seem to be positioned differently for N Line

 

Remove old bulbs, replace with new LED bulbs, regardless of how they appear to be positioned the process and end result is the same.

Did anyone replaced the Licence plate bulb to LED, what is the number you used

 

It would be easy but I decided I like it as is. W5W is the bulb to get the led equivalent of.

 

A quick update - these are the LED bulbs to get via Amazon for your rear turn signals. Note that the bulbs are amber. There is no hyperflash problem.

I’ve had them installed for 2 1/2 years and they are bright as blazes. I bought an extra pair for the future.

 

Be aware these PY21W bulbs come in 2 flavors. Base pins at 180 degrees and 150 degrees. 150 degrees fit 2023 SEL.
