I am planning on taking the Ioniq 5 camping soon and wanted the option to disable the tailgate beeps to avoid disturbing others late at night. The process takes about 10 minutes and is easily reversible if you want the alert back for general safety in daily use.
I did need to invest in a cheap set of "Panel Pull" tools for the project ($7)
The first 3 images below are from the official Hyundai Workshop manual on how to remove the tailgate trim:
Once the trim is removed, you can remove or disconnect the buzzer speaker. Image below shows location.
Putting everything back was very straight forward.
The only tricky part for me was disconnecting the power button switch... you need to to give it a little squeeze to get it to come off. Squeeze area for the switch and the panel pull tools I used are below.
