Integrated Roof Rack Mounting Points

This might topic might belong in the RB Accent forum since my local dealer seemed to be unfamiliar with them until I pointed it out, but I'm wondering if other Hyundai models from previous years might have a feature that I have noticed. My new 2012 Hyundai Accent HB seems to have four integrated mounting points of some sort, most likely for a roof rack. None of the roof rack manufacturers yet specify a fit for '12 Accents, and Yakima wouldn't even help me try to figure out what of their hardware might fit. A large online retailer of all the major brands of roof racks, who does happen to specify roof rack fits for other vehicles with integrated roof rack mounting points that appear to be similar, wouldn't help me. Here is what they look like:

Has anyone had experience with this type of mounting point or anything similar to it on a Hyundai or any other vehicle?

I too will be looking for a roof rack which I plan on using for the bikes. I would like to be able to easily take it off for the MPG saving when not toting around the bikes.
I've wondered this as well. Why would Hyundai even HAVE the mounting points if they're not going to offer an optional roof rack? I wonder if the option is available in Asia/Europe?

I found this:

http://www.onsaleramps.com/2012-hyundai-ac...x-series-59884/

I don't know if it utilizes the mounting points; it's not clear from the description.
Ah ha! Thank you. Plugging in the part number at the Rola website comes up with:

The instructions are not clearly written or illustrated. Its hard to tell if the rack does use the mounting points.

Regardless, that may a nice looking rack. It would be nice to see how it looks on an Accent.

I'd love to be able to use my existing roof rack (Yakima rails, fairing, twin steelhead racks with locks. Q-towers, full set of locks), since I spent so much on it. I looked on Yakima's site and they have the car listed with an available system, but I can't tell if it utilizes the existing mounting points.

It looks as if maybe the "landing pads" do, and then the control towers (which are a different model than my Q-towers) attach to that. If so, then a set of 4 control towers is $165 & 4 landing pads are another $140, so $300+ just to use my existing equipment. If you're starting from scratch, then you're looking at another $250'ish for crossbars and, if you want them, locks & fairing. Then you'll need rails, depending on what you're going to be carrying. For a 2 bike system, like mine, total costs will approach $750... (so you can see why I'd like to reuse whatever I possibly can)

How do your Q-towers mount? If they mount with a single bolt and have rubber pads, they might be mountable, though you may have to go to the hardware store and get some bolts the right length. If they mount to tracks, nope, no way. Not unless you somehow create a landing-pad-to-Q-tower adaptor of some sort -- I could do it, with a bit of fabrication work in my shop with some channel iron and rubber gasket material, but if you're asking this question clearly you don't have a shop or know how to fabricate things. And personally I'd just buy the correct system, because I'm already backed up fabricating things for my Jeep, and it's annoying to fabricate things (not to mention that making them look professional rather than hand-built is difficult because, duh, they *are* hand-built).

I have 25 year old Thule racks that are still good, and have seen duty on everything from my 87 Accord to my last car, the 2002 Rio, by just changing the door mounts. But I don't want to mark up the new Accent with door mounts, especially when there are those integral mounts in the roof. They are the Thule square bars, not the aero ones. Is there an option for these anywhere in Accent-land?
