Hi guys,

Well I went to the dealership today and paid for the car tax and registration.

Fingers crossed and by this time next week I will be driving my brand new Tucson V6 2.7. Will post some pix on here once I get it.

Not long now...... :p

Which model? Do the European Tucsons have the Side and Curtain air bags? They are standard in USA models but they are not available on Canadian Tucsons

Scorpio:

I ordered it about 2 weeks ago, it arrived at the main branch last week, just waiting for plates to come through and away I go, some time later this week.

Originally I had ordered the CRDI, but as it would have taken up to 4 months to be delivered in top spec silver manual, I decided to push the boat out and get the 2.7 V6 instead, as I figured (and the dealer confirmed) that this model would be available much quicker as a lot less people buy it because of the fuel consumption and taxes (which I am not that bothered about).

Here in Spain we have 2 trims, COMFORT and top trim STYLE. The 2.7 only comes in STYLE and automatic. Both trims have 10 airbags all around you!

Will post some pix when I get it etc....

okay great, we do have a style version top of three.

ordered myself a 2.0l 4WD with sunroof , also full airbag

waiting since december. should be end March when it arrives. Reading all the stuff on delays makes me wonder whether I also should go for something on stock.

well we will see hope you enjoy the ride, and lets see some pics when you got it

more to follow eventually.

well overall it took 4 weeks from the time i ordered it to the point of having it on the road. however thats because i went for the v6, the diesel would have taken up to 4 months like for the rest of you.

cheers.

:wink2: Hey!!!!!!!!!!! You stole my car ... I have the very same car .. nice huh?

Boy ... it seems like you guys in UK and Europe have to go through an ordeal to buy cars ... we don't wait for sh_t here ... when I went to buy ours (its my wife's car) ... we had about 20 to choose from .. and I live in a small town in Florida ...

Here we just walk into a dealership .. you choose the car .. you fight for the best price .. they give you metal drive-away plates right away .. you pay taxes right on the spot .. 20 minutes later .. you wonder what in the **** did I just do! :wallbash:

CAP in sunny Florida!

Hi Florida citizen

Well, may I add, waiting for months or half a year for a car seems to be now a western-europe behaviour. I am from middle europe (or New Europe, as called by your Mr. President during Iraq crise - as opposed to Old Europe, which are the some of western european countries  ). Me neither would wait for a car - not even for one week. When we were byuing our Hyundai in last november - altought an Accent, not Tucson (yet :) we took over the selected vehicle in 24 hours. That one day was necessary for the vendor to prepare the car (install some selected option hand-rest, whatever) but also for myself to organize the leasing with the bank. Anyhow - during the whole purchase procedure - with my wife we felt like to be in america :wink2:

 Hello .. from the land of Crazy Bush! Well ... we have it made here, that's for sure ... but just to :pokey: piss everybody off around the world we are lately invading countries along with the British and generally making a mess of the world. That's what it is like when you have a Cowboy President in charge .. yahoo buckaroo! But .. all kidding aside .. things are very easy here when you have money .. when you don't have any money .. oh man .. you are in big trouble. I am lucky I am retired and my wife works ... and I live in a fabulous area .. we are not rich by any means ... but we are comfortable. I hope you guys can enjoy the benfits of capitalism without all the bad things it brings ... :57:

Hi,

oops, we forgot to label our offtopic comment with the offtopic shield  On some forums they are upset for such thing...

So WBush used to be a cowboy? I say, this is still better than having an ex boxer as Prime Minister, as Slovakia was having in the early 90's  That where very hard times, comparable to komunism.

Have a nice day, Attila
