I know you can't wiring led to DRL is doesn't work because DRL out put only 5.7 volts only halogen bulb can work, if you use LED Day Light fog cover you have to hook up to parking light(running light) that not you want to be:confused: I want share one of my trick:D
1).First turn mode control switch to off position(fuse box by drive)
2). Wiring positive(led) to cigarette lighter+ same with negative or connector to body but make sure you add fuse on + wire.
Now led will on when engine start and off when engine off, for manual control just add switch:00000732:

Lou, im setting my car up to put the lights in soon.
Im thinking about buying this add a circuit to run all 4 front LEDs (FOG light cover, no fogs installed, and lower grill LEDs) will one be enough to patch into?

aftermarket DRL wiring

Hi,

Here is a sample wiring that's really easy to follow, it doesn't matter on what car.

All it needs is a relay, a fuse and colored wire (one red / one black)wire.
Best is all wires are easily routed because they are all in the engine room.
There is no need to go inside the car's cockpit, all can be done from the battery or even the engine room's fusebox.

The diode may be usefull depending where you'll take the +12V pickup.
Of no use if connected directly to the battery (in that case, put an inline fuse to protect the circuit), it will prevent a +12V feedback to the fusebox when the parking lights are ON.

It complies with at least european regulation :
  • if DRL is ON, NO parking lamps or other lights have to be ON !
  • At the moment you turn your car's lights ON, the DRL have to be automaticaly switched OFF.
Hope this helps a little bit.

Regards
Roland

Thanks for the info Roland :)

Shark Racing

thats pretty much what I was looking to build. since I really only needed to tap into two wires... but thats pricey!!! $45 each!!!
From Shark:

Price is for one set of connector harnesses, enough for one car.

I read this as 2 harness, one for each side
