What are headers for exactly?

If the Air intake is cheaper than $300, count me in! :D

It is coming...

I am not affiliated with KFX performance, I just volunteered to have the header test fit to my car (2006 Kia Rio) and have a connector pipe made to go from the header to the stock cat.

Part of the hold up was the guy who was originally going to have it test fit could not get a shop in his area to do it since it would require removing the stock pre-cat, even if it is temporary.

So they sent it to me, and I had the new connector pipe made. Now to ship the prototype and mocked mid-pipe to the manufacturer, who will then make the real prototype. Once confirmed that it fits, they should be ready to start cranking them out.

So a couple more weeks, but progress is being made...

Hmm I do have an issue with the header. I see two O2 sensor spots but no CAT. I tried this setup on my old LC2 and got the CEL until I moved the second O2 behind the CAT, Which was installed under the car. There isn't as much room under the car for a CAT, and no room with the design you have shown. We need a header that just reaches below the motor so that we can fit a CAT there. Not to mention you'll also need to extend the O2 wires. Here's another option, they used to do it with the older LC2. Put a Turbo header on and then mounth the CAT infront of the motor. This way there isn't a need to rewire the O2's and once yoru ready you can upgrade to a turbo. You'll need to build an adapter to go from Header to CAT, but you need to bore out the oem CAT anyways to increase it to a 2+" size. Just a thought, Great to knwo they're building a header though. Also did you know that the old LC2 headers will fit the MC model. You just need to build a connection pipe with CAT. But same issue as with your design, it can't be a 1 peice that goes under the engine.
