Full-size spare tire on Tucson Hybrid?

I know that the 2022 Tucson Hybrid does not come with a spare tire and I've seen discussions with pictures showing how you can buy a compatible donut spare and put that in the wheel well under the cargo floor. Donut spares are certainly better than none, but I'd feel more comfortable with a full-size spare. Has anyone tried putting a full-size spare in that wheel well and seeing if the cargo floor cover still fits in either of the two positions?

I'm posting this question in both Tucson forums, so I apologize to anyone who follows both, but I've noticed different questions and different members in each one.

Thanks.

following. you COULD jack the car up, take a wheel off and chuck it in that area and see how it fits.

what i want to know are the center bore/lug pattern offset specs or other compatible wheels from another model if need be to obtain a cheap rim and throw a good tire on it and use it as long distance travel spare. i will need one soon before a road trip.

I don't have my Tucson yet, so I need somebody ELSE to throw a tire in back to check the fit. I'm trying to plan ahead and have parts ready to install when it gets here.

I've been told the lug specs are 5X114. Someone posted that they got a tire from a junkyard Sante Fe and it was supposed to fit their Tucson Hybrid. That's unconfirmed at this point.

Yes, thanks. I will also be getting a kit that includes a scissor jack, and I already have a 4-way lug wrench. There's plenty of room with the donut spare, as photos show with those who have purchased that type, but there would certainly be less room with a full-size spare. If that needs to just lie on the cargo floor, fine. It's certainly better than laying a spare tire in the cargo area along with your luggage.

dunno about the tucson, but our 2021 elantra hybrid, which came with a donut spare, but will not take a full size. the well is about half as deep, so a full size is above the level of the trunk floor. our 2020 sonata came with a donut, but i put a full size spare in the well, it fit perfect. our 2 2016 elantras came with the tire mobility kit, but i put a full size spare in each car, and they also fit perfectly. so, perhaps after 2021 they are designing the trunk floor different, and/or, the hybrid battery placement might have something to do with it

Ah... yeah, that is what I was referring to - so if that is accurate (unsure what you meant by mock-up - is this photoshopped?), then the full size wheel does not completely fit even when the floor is installed higher. It's close though. I'm curious if resting the floor on the wheel would work in real world usage.
