This really ticked me off big time today, whatever I do the gas cap won't open when I tried to at the gas station. Before I noticed that I would have to try this a couple of times before it will open, but today, it just won't open at all.

Anyone had similar issues?

I haven't had that problem but there is a way to get it opened until the dealer can fix it. First, what are you driving? You have not given us any info at all. What model, year, etc.
IF it is a Santa Fe Sport, or at least a SF, there is an emergency release inside the back in the cargo area. Same side as the filler opening, open the back hatch and look on the left side. There is a door there with a manual release inside. If you have the owners manual look on page 4-38 and you will see a pic of the hatch and release.
My manual is for a 2013 Sport, yours might be different if it is a different year or model. I am assuming it is a "Hyundai".

help us, help you. be more informative please.

exact model?
year?
fuel CAP or fuel door/lid/cover?

when you say, "the gas cap won't open" does that mean:
1. it spins but wont open?
2. it wont budge?
3. its loosened, but stuck?
4. its just making a clicking noise

Sorry my mistake, it wasnt the gas cap but the actual fuel door

2013 Santa Fe is the model

When I try to open the fuel door through that button on the driver side door, it will make a sound but it won't open. It seems to be loosed but stuck, well not completely stuck I guess as I asked my friend just now to hold that unlock key on the driver side door and I was able to manually open the fuel door/lid/cover.

I will try that suggestion JRM2013. Thanks

watch this video i made:

when you do open it, swing it back & forth to make sure it doesn't need lubing like RedRasp mentioned. if it does, do what RedRasp said. if it swing fine, then you can go back to the dealer for them to readjust the either the spring that springs open the door, or the actuator itself(might be getting stuck half way)

be careful, as many plastics degrade with things like wd40. wd40 inst recommended.

i only use plastic safe lubricants as in:
