I had plans, I have only one bill left for my daughters college. I was going to trade the 2011 Sonata in next year for the genesis or azera. I wanted to trade because I wanted the Panoramic roof and upgrade. I decided today, what the heck, save the money and just gloss black wrap the roof of my sonata. I keep looking at all the threads pics to gauge what type of rims I am going to order and now the EZ Lip stuff has added more to my plate I want to order. I really like my Sonata, so I might as well enhance it.

Got my QwikLip installed and it looks awesome! Don't have my digi camera now so couldn't take pics, but I love it!

Is that Technica lip the one from Korea on ebay? Looks identical to ez-lip and qwik-lip...I hate how those pieces of tape look, you should do one continuous long piece of tape so that those gaps aren't present.

I like the QwikLip / EzLip because screws aren't required, and it looks just as good.

Also I saw that QwikLip is on ebay for $34.99, but if you order from the site Qwiklip.com it's only $27.99 which is what I did.

Love the blacked out look though!

So would you say the Technica lip is more durable? I scrap on driveways and my EZ lip has saved my bumper a couple of times, hows the material on this.
The Technica one is pretty thick heavy duty rubber. It's pretty hefty and has to drill into the bumper in order to stay on without falling off. I have this one too.

Two links posted. One has Scion which I just ordered. Had Sonata pics on it. Then the last link actually had Sonats front lip. Which I'm pissed about lol.

Is this just a long piece of rubber or precut to fit the Sonata? Both descriptions doesn't really list a car but both listings say its 7.5 ft. Maybe it's just the title.

The Technica front valence lip spoiler came in today. I like the quality. It's a nice flexible hard rubber. It came with screws and only took 12 days to arrive. Now off to install it.
Mine has been sitting in my backseat for a few weeks now lol. Hopefully you get yours on without the gaps that I saw on one on here. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Of course it starts raining. Now that you mention it, I'm going to hang it in the sun so it straightens out first (when the sun comes back out in 10 minutes) . It is Florida you know.

Clothes line or a rope between to item and drape the rubber/foam over it and use a piece of masking tape to hold it in place versus a clothes pin and it makes it nice and easy to work with.

It is on and I must say it turned out great. I used no tape just the screws. I also had to add about 6 or more screws/washers. I left the original hard plastic valence in place. I put the new valence in front of the original one. You must use flat washers when securing with screws. If you don't the rubber will twist with the screw head when they meet. This job is not for a perfectionist. It states "15 minute install". It's more like (and I'm embarrassed to say) 3 hours. Of course this is without a lift but with a floor jack and no help. I can't tell you how many more holes there are now that I didn't use but you don't see them even from underneath. Needless to say the sun was gone by the time I finished so the before and after pictures will come at first light. It is never coming off.

Here are the before and after shots. I need one more screw/washer to tighten up a loose spot and I am going to order some new decals from a decal maker here in FL. Trying to decide what I want them to say. Maybe "YF" or "Mobis" or my companies initials.
