For future information, how to de activate the electrical parking brake in 2025 Santa Fe to replace rear pads so the piston doesn't engage.

The piston won't engage unless you turn the ignition on when you have the caliper off DISASTER then prevails. You need to work out how to retract it if your going to replace pads.
