Doesn't look like a total loss. When doing the claim for the insurance try and get more out of it for the "loss in value" your car will have with an accident on the record. I have friends who have gotten $1k on older cars for that before.

 

My gosh that's bad. Hope no one was hurt. And the insurance does a great job they can to fix it. Sorry again and so close to Xmas too. That's heart breaking to me.

 

I always worry about taking my Azera out on the road. I can drive but you need to watch out for the other guy or girl.

 

It's really break my heart too!! My Azera crash !!!! That's not a good option !!!

The sAme day I got in the wreck my new grill came in. Its repairable. I can't wait to see what the ins co offers for diminished value. I feel I'm about to get screwed. Signed papers on car 12-7-13 and it had approx 500 to 600 miles on it.

 

My steering wheel air bag and leg air bag deployed. I'm fine, just sore.

If you can take it to an actual Hyundai Dealership that does body work so you know all OE parts are used and no issues. I hate going to the recommended 3rd parties. they do good work, but id rather have it look like factory parts paint and all.

Make sure you get your leg checked out. It may not hurt now, but it could hurt several weeks later

You didn't mention any injuries, considering the alternatives, have a Merry Christmas. The car can be replaced easily enough, not so with your loved ones.

 

Insurance agreed it was totaled but said my value is $29,723.00 then will also subtract $207 for having 592 miles on it. I see this is not going to get settled before the new year.

 

How did they come up with $29,723 for basically a brand new Tech?
I'm guessing you had to pay ~ $33K for this.

 

Sucks won't be settled before the new year but the good thing is there seems to be progress. At least it's not at a stalemate

 

My 06 Azera got hit in the rear just over a year ago. The girl was texting hit me only about 4 mph. Did look like much at first matter of fact I didn't see anything but a small mark by the license plate from her car.

Then I took it to my body shop who does a great job. When we opened the trunk the speakers were all down inside the trunk, the padding under the trunk fell down, and the bumper had creases in it from the impact something that I didn't see but when he held a light on the bumper you could see a wave.

I was sick and the damage was $1800.00 not much but again it didn't look like much. Then one month later the rattles started. Took the car back to the body shop and he couldn't find out what was loose so took it to the dealer. They had it for a week and no luck. It was something either under the car or in the rear end.

I had three cars that were hit all repaired and one thing is for sure they are never the same.

I was so ticked off that my car was hit almost sick as I liked the 06 Azera. So happy with my 13 Azera sure hope nobody hits my car again.

 

Settled with ins co. Getting a little screwed but ready to get back into an azera. Hope my dealer can find same ASAP.

I got the exact same as I had before. The dealer in my location did not have and 2014 and I couldn't wait. But now my whees are scraped. It was raining when I picked up my car so we didn't inspect it and noticed it the next day. 3 out of 4 are messed up with no damage to the tire itself. Sending my husband back to dealer tomorrow.

 

Get use to wheels problems..... Low profile tires look neat but are prone to this problem (keep away from parallel parking) or letting wife drive your car :=)
Also watch out for large pot holes in the road they tend to take out tires and rims
