An 8" screen will not fit unless you do some serious dash mods. The A/C vents are too close to the radio.

Biggest I could fit was a 7" screen, Pioneer 8100NEX

8" will work if he goes with the OEM Infinity radio. The Dimension available in the Sport model may even be 8".

edouble101, any chance you could go into more detail of how you installed your screen? How did you know that one would fit and did you get it done in a shop?

 

I installed it. I bought a Metra dash kit and wiring harness.

Well, to stay out of trouble, I better replace the screen with the Sport one with everything working, including the backup camera. Now, can this be done? Oviously if it could be done, I will take it to the Hyundai service center to get a secure and pro instalation.
Have anyone done this before? Any picture?

I asked this question about a month ago. Unfortunately no one could really offer any information on whether or not you could successfully retrofit factory 8" display audio into a car that came with the 5" display unit.

I am keeping my eyes open for a system from a salvage car so I can attempt the retrofit myself.

edouble101 were you able to retain your steering wheel controls using a converter?

 

using an iDatalink Maestro, Axxess ASWC-1 or similar module will allow you to retain the steering wheel controls for use with most name brand aftermarket head units.
