Has anyone had the same problem with there climate control. Getting in the car and pressing start button, and everything is off. Having to switch the climate control back on and the temperature is set high and the cockpit is reset to default. This has happened a few times now.

I've had that problem in my hybrid. The CC intermittently loses its memory settings and must be set again from off. In addition, my instruments lose their subcategory settings and I have to re-navigate to the subcategory to bring up the instrument I want to see. I've been trying to isolate the circumstances that cause the resets but have been unable so far. It's pretty intermittent.

I also have the hybrid. I remote start my car only to find that the windows aren't defrosted and the cabin isn't 76 (I have a newborn that needs it warmer). I guess I could do the blue link start but I don't want to get used to it after the trial ends. I just want it to save my settings before I turn it off. So frustrating (I know, 1st world problems but still...)

The remote settings using the fob default to 72F AUTO no matter how you set the controls before you power down the vehicle. If the ambient temperature is low, the heat comes on. If the ambient temperature is high the A/C comes on. I don't know how Bluelink works, I never tried it. I read in other posts you can make custom settings with Bluelink, but only from a computer, not the phone app. I can't verify that.

I'm having the same problem with the climate control being off and forgetting all my settings as well. The instrument cluster also forgets its position, and some sub menu settings also seem to be reset to default (e.g I usually turn off wireless charging since I don't have a phone capable of it), while others seem to remember their settings (e.g quick signal is set to 5 flashes and stays at 5, whereas the default was 3)

Definitely a puzzle. I'm wondering if it's due to my dash cam being plugged into the accessory battery and draining it too low (though I set the cut off to 12.4V)?

My car is completely stock and I have the same problems (including the fuel trip meter randomly resetting) as do many others. Have you opened a trouble ticket with your dealer? If not, please do so. Opening a ticket with your dealer lets Hyundai know their customers are having these problems and they expect them to be fixed. It's been a year since the car went for sale in NA and we still have no updates that address these problems.

The only change I made to my car was the installation (hard-wire) of the dash cam. The ignition switched fuse is tapped into a spare fuse slot, while the constant fuse is tapped into the multimedia fuse (the manual indicates that it is responsible for audio, A/V & navigation head unit, and the DC-DC converter) -- I don't see how this would cause settings to reset though.

I haven't started a ticket yet, but I will start one with Hyundai Canada to at least let them know of such an issue.

I just realized that I've been posting in the Tucson subforum, whereas I'm encountering this problem on an Elantra Hybrid (Ultimate trim, Canadian model).

I can't even update the software on the head unit, as it just tells me to contact my dealer's service centre (sent them an e-mail but not going to hold my breath for a reply).

If you're still experiencing the issues described in this thread, here's something to try. The next time it happens go ahead and turn the climate control system back on, but leave the instrument cluster alone and at default (with the top down view of the vehicle). Don't change it, don't scroll through the settings, don't touch it at all.

I was having this issue occur randomly and fairly frequently, but it seemed to occur most often when the fuel tank was >50% full and always the next day after filling up.

The last time it happened the fuel level was at ~80%. Since leaving the instrument cluster at default after the last reset it hasn't happened since, and I am on my second fill up with the tank around ~50% at the moment. Btw, my gauges are configured for the 3D cube.

Could be a coincidence, but that's been my experience so far. At least the average MPG indicator is useful now if nothing else.

I am waiting for Hyundai to come out with a verified fix (TSB) before I take the car in for this issue because I can't be without it while the dealer tries to figure it out. I did mention the problem while scheduling an change in May, they looked into it, and came back with there's no TSB or FW update available. It was then suggested that I schedule an appointment to drop the car off and have it diagnosed to the tune of $175; refundable if it turned out to be a warranty issue. I've no confidence in the dealer, so I'll wait for Hyundai to acknowledge and fix the problem first.

This really sounds like the issue of a low 12v battery. Happens a lot of you leave the car for a few days or have the boot and doors open for a few hours (whatever drains down the 12v battery).

It's been well reported in the UK forum.

I noticed this issue on my 2022 Tucson SEL Hybrid about a month after purchasing it in May 2021. It's really intermittent, but it's happened 5-times this week which is a new record. I contacted Hyundai customer service awhile back and they said to contact my dealer. I mentioned it to two different dealers while having the oil changed, and both gave me the exact same response, "we've never heard of that." One dealer wanted to charge me to look into the problem.

It's my opinion that Hyundai was aware of this issue when they put the vehicle on the market, and either don't have a fix, or they don't want to fix it.

It really sucks that some of the features that we paid for don't work as expected and the manufacturer doesn't consider it to be a problem worthy of their attention.

I am thinking this will probably be my last Hyundai.
