With everything closed (shade and glass closed), push the tilt button, it will only open the shade halfway and then tilt the glass. (not 100% sure but I think I remember this happening in my car)

 

I can’t even open the shade all the way while keeping the glass part closed, I can tilt and have it half way open but I’ve never been able to just open the shade so I gave up lol

 

Push the switch back lightly. The switch has 2 pressure “points”, if you push it back all the way (clicks twice), it will open the glass and shade, if you push it lightly to the first point, it will open the shade only.

 

Mine opens most of the way if not all (the shade). I live in Tampa so during the day I’d like to be able to tilt the roof; without any sun coming in
