Hi, I have just taken delivery on my Santa Fe Premium SE after a very long wait and in general I am very pleased with the car. The only problem I have is that unlike our American cousins I am unable to display the album art (cover art) when playing tracks from my iphone.

I have tried every combination of Hyundai lead, iphone only lead both with and without bluetooth but all I get is the name of the artist and track. No picture of the album. I would love to hear if anyone has achieved this or has the aux video/photo display on the UK sat/nav been left out?

Don't know if this will help you or not but:

I put a bunch of my favorite music onto a USB memory stick. Works just fine..but I only have album art displayed from songs that were copied from my iTunes collection...and the music has to be mp3 format..the mp4 stuff doesn't play. I am in the USA so maybe this will not do you any good.. hope it does!

I didn't even know it did this!!

I Have the Highlander here in Australia which is the equivalent of the UK Premium SE and i've used both cables and only get track info.

PS are you using an iPod and if so can you stream audio via bluetooth? i can only do it from iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad don't work.

Where are you in the UK?

Hi Deano, How you going mate! (ex Aussie now living in Scotland)

Yes the nav system is supposed to show album art from your ipod or iphone if connected with a single USB cable, or so a salesman told me prior to purchase. I will speak with Hyundai UK to confirm but it dosnt look good at this stage. Just annoys me that the system is more than capable of showing album art including videos and tv channels via iphone apps but for some reason its been programmed not to do so here in the UK and OZ by the sound of it.

As I said I am very pleased with the car but when you pay ÂŁ35000 UK equiv to $51000 AUD or $53000 US, you expect all of these features to work!

I bought a creamy white SE with lovely big 19 inch black chrome mags!

Cheers

Near the Arbroath smokies on the east coast.

Dealer and Hyundai UK about as usefull as a chocolate fireguard, the video feature is also in my handbook but i cant access aux, I've even got into the dealer reset/adjust mode in the satnav where you can adjust options but its all in code. Had hoped our US cousins could have helped as it seems they can access the video/ album art feature.

I am able to stream Internet (OZ) radio from my iPhone which is useful

I got video to work!

Firstly you will need a cable with 3.5mm jack at one end and 3 female rca video at the other, I got mine from eBay as below.

Then you'll need the iPod composite cable exactly as below, you only need the one with 3 x male rca's as below, no need for the 5 rca one, Aussie guys I got mine from Dick Smith for $32

Connect the 2 together, Plug the 3.5mm jack into the Aux input on your SF, connect the other end to your iPod or iPhone and voila! :D

wow for real? Can anyone confirm if it works in USDM Santa Fe?? As far as I know there is no video feature in ours :(

I've even got into the dealer reset/adjust mode in the satnav where you can adjust options but its all in code. Had hoped our US cousins could have helped as it seems they can access the video/ album art feature.
Mind sharing a way to get into the reset/adjust mode?

Well done Deano, is tha 'Taggart' on the screen?

Just for the guys wanting to get into dealer mode on the nav then this is now you do it

If you press and hold the settings button it'll pop up with a detailed description of software, firmware, navigation versions etc.
Once you're on that screen, if you press the centre of the screen, just below the right side of the hyundainav URL and you hold for ten seconds it'll put it into test mode. If you enter the code 123456 a whole lot of stuff detailing the nav unit will pop up.
