Just an FYI for those of you on AA, maybe you have already seen this. The latest update, I believe from February 6th, added some additional features and changed the layout. Just posting some pictures so you can see the new capability and how it looks on the Sonata N Line infotainment screen. I am running a Pixel 7 Pro along with AA Wireless dongle, also configured the infotainment system so when I get in the car I just push the "star" button and my screen goes to the first picture below, as soon as AA wireless fires up, which is usually within 10-15 seconds of starting the car.

The first two have the "AA split screen" option enabled in the infotainment settings, unfortunately you still have to disconnect AA to change this setting which would allow you to use the full infotainment screen for AA, see pictures 3 and 4 for that. I still prefer to listen to SXM through the car and use google maps so nothing changes for me (my screen is almost always configured as shown in picture 1) but some of you might find one of these other settings more useful. It does allow you to now run up to 3 things at once, as long as 2 of them are in the AA interface and 1 is through the infotainment.

Yes I saw this the other day as well, when it came up with the interface shown in your 2nd image. I freaked for a second or two, since the small google maps area would not be acceptable to me for travel. But then I saw the icon lower left to change it to its 'usual' appearance.

I'm still on the original 3-panel firmware, so don't have full-screen AA. I wouldn't want it for maps alone, and assumed that if I did update, it would provide the option to have AA in left 2/3, and AA-streaming App in right 1/3, as shown in your 3rd picture. Was this not possible before, or did this new update add this capability?

I'm still tempted to update, with the only negative being losing the 3-panel option, which I do like. Although to be honest, since I use AA essentially 100% of the time, I really don't use it. The only time it's there is if AA Wireless glitches (as it does sometimes), and won't display AA without a phone and/or dongle reboot.

A previous update allowed the use of full screen AA, I believe that was included in the last Hyundai update, getting confused as to when that was added at the moment. I mourned the loss of the 3 panel screen for 5 seconds. Still wish for a brighter map on the refreshed version but overall it is a much more modern look that fits the car, in my opinion, I know others feel differently and I can see that point of view as well.
I too use AA 99% of the time, even for short 1 mile trips to the store. Being made aware of traffic that can be avoided is such an amazing thing, wouldn't want to be without it. While the factory nav has traffic info, it is too limited when you are used to such high coverage provided by google maps.

The new AA update is a big improvement. I like the map (WAZE) music (Spotify) split screen. I Bluetooth from my Galaxy S20FE to the Motorola MA-1.

Thanks for the pictures, It's nice to know that Coolwalk plays nicely with our car.

FYI, it has nothing to do with what version of AA you have on your phone, It is a server-side switch from Google that activates the new interface, and most people don't have it yet.

Still waiting very patiently for Google to "flip the switch" for my phone

My app buttons only run up and down on the left-hand side. How does your orientation change w app buttons running along the bottom of the screen?

The app buttons are only on the bottom of the screen if you are still splitting the screen in the infotainment screen. Before you start AA, go into the settings and if you check the box to enable split screen, then you will still get the right side 1/3 of the screen to display settings from the Sonata infotainment screen. I run it this way because I like to always have my SXM screen up for radio information and I can also still swipe through for all of the other Sonata widgets like weather, compass, etc. The only part I am not used to yet is the clock, I keep expecting to find the time in the upper right and it is in the lower right.

Running AA with the Sonata infotainment "split screen" enabled. The audio was still the SXM through the car, as displayed on the far right. I must have used Pandora at some point in the past so when I hit the button to show multiple tiles for AA, Pandora popped up by default. Pandora was not playing but if I had pushed play it would have started to play and stopped SXM. Basically, just like in the older versions of AA, it will display things you previously used. If you push the icon in the lower left of the AA screen that looks like 3 tiles, it will display multiple things. If you are full screen AA, I think it will allow up to 3 different tiles, I will have to try later in my car if it will allow up to 3. I am pretty sure I saw that on my wife's VW Atlas screen the other day.

I cant seem to get waze to be full screen or is that even possible? View attachment 478664
Currently Waze doesn't go full screen. I've heard there is an update on the way for Coolwalk (currently in beta), but I'm not sure if that will support full-screen,

I've set the Sonata infotainment to split screen but still not getting what you're seeing. It is simply the 2/3 and 1/3 screens. After having read other comments on the site, you have enable "developer settings "...by tapping the version 10 times. Once I did that, voila, my screen has the same layout as the pics you posted!

Has anyone else experienced the touchscreen simply not working when using AA sometimes, (even when connected via cable)?

I'd say nearly half the time I can't pause/stop my music, whether moving or not, usually after I park, and want to turn off the music. It simply won't respond to the touch input, I have to unplug it to get it to stop playing.

Years of using AA, over various cars, including this one, and this issue only started with this update.

Never have had that issue, plugged in or using AA wireless dongle. I always update within the first 1-2 days of any release.
