My dealer called this morning notifying me that there is a safety recall for my '25 Santa Fe XRT.
something involving the B+ terminal on the starter motor. seems it may have been assembled wrong exposing it to a short circuit in the event of a crash.

And with age too the rubber boot shrinks/ warps different direction.. Just look up in and verify rubber boot over cable end at starter solenoid is squarely covering terminal.

The things they come up with for recall. Crash going to mash front if hit good and square, why not recall all the harness and battery cable because mash parts could chop electric wires and short to ground ?

Not an emergency thing.

Hold on until next oil change for them to look and take picture to close out recall to your vin

Where exactly should I look for the rubber boot? From underneath or engine bay? Thanks for the info.
As i'm typing this reply my Hyundai dealer calls me about a second recall to update the software for the electronic oil pump. Guess I'll just keep the appt. and get it done.
