We have a brand new 2018 Santa Fe awd. At highway speeds there is a lot of wind noise around passenger front door. It sounds like the window is down a little but it is not. Had it at the dealer on 8/27/18. Taking it back on 8/31. Any ideas because the first trip only made it worse?

Any modifications to the air flow over the vehicle....Changing ride height, adding a big shield / front air deflectors, etc... Can add wind noise. If it is always that one side and is there all the time at a known speed then it is most likely something that can be repaired. If it comes and goes then the affects of wind direction / crosswind may be adding to the noise and that can be difficult for a Dealer to reproduce and / or repair.

Wind Noise on 2019 Santa Fe

We too are having wind noise from the front passenger door on our 2018 Santa Fe (7 passenger) at speeds over 50 mph. The faster we go, the louder it gets. We noticed this problem within the first week of ownership and informed Hyundai on the quality survey we received. Have been to the dealership twice - we now have 2.400 miles on this vehicle. This week we drove other 2018 Santa Fe vehicles and found they have similar problems from different doors. Our dealer is getting us a 2019 Santa Fe XL (7 passenger) to drive and see if we can find a vehicle without this problem.

If it is in all of them then it may not be a problem per se. There may have been a design change (Mirrors perhaps?) that creates more wind noise than in the past. More of a characteristic inherent to the design than a problem. That does not mean that Hyundai will not come up with something to address it or at least improve it......
