yes,2015-2017 are the same. You have to pull the bumper cover to replace the grille. it is an easy 20-30 min job if replacing with the stock grille. Tools needed are phillips screwdriver and a 10 mm socket on a short (2"-4") extension If an aftermarket grille some take a little more time to snap into place. I did it the first time using a OEM Grille from 3 Green parts on EBay (came in Hyundai OEM Box) 2nd time changed to the M&S Grille and it took an extra 20-30 minutes to get it to snap into place correctly..

@xaran , Thank you very much for that information. If I could find a deal on a 2017 grille, I might buy it and replace the OEM grille. I just like the look of the 2017 grille better. And thanks for the link as well.

 

I have a used OEM 2017 Sport Grille that I have tried to sell. it is in very good - excellent condition.I had replaced it when my original tood a rock on the freeway. Then about a month later a large piece of steel bar was on the road and the car in front of me threw it up enough to tear up my bumper cover so while I was replacing the bumper cover I added the aftermarket M&S grille. kept the OEM grille that had only been on the car about a month.

This is the only one I have . This is it on the car before removal, i also have the "H" badge this picture was taken when I was still putting together.
Grille is still in same condition. I can take another tonight or tomorrow if you are interested after I get the shipping cost.

The grille you are looking for is not the "sport" with the black surround, you want the chrome border. I believe that is the "Limited"

Thanks for that information. I was not sure what model Sonata it was from. I just know that I like that tubular look on it.

 

I don't see a single grille for sale on eBay for the 2015 Sonata that has that rectangular panel for the smart cruise control sensor. Are these aftermarket grilles not compatible with that feature?

 

I don't have the smart cruise control but you do have a valid point. I wish that the aftermarket grilles were not so expensive.
