Rain sensing wipers don't work.

My car has had a new windscreen fitted at some point before I purchased it. According to the dealer this is the reason the auto wipers don't work. They do a single wipe when the car is started but that's it unless I switch them out of auto mode. The dealers say they threw a bucket of water on the windscreen and that triggered them and that the non factory glass is the issue.

My question is where's the sensor and how do you check it for air bubbles? I've read that this can be a cause of them not working properly but I have no idea where the sensor is.

Usually at the top of the windscreen beside the rear view mirror.

Look at the sensor from the outside and see if you see any, I guess.
