I40 Tourer Front Parking Sensors

I have a 2012 I40 Tourer where all 4 front parking sensors are not working.
I've asked the main dealer and they quoted me around 200 euro a piece (including labour because they have to take off the bumper).

I can see from a local breaker yard that they are a number of other Hyundai models so I'm going to ask them if they have parking sensors stored.

My question is though, are any of the parking sensors from other models compatible with the I40? From looking at the breakers website and any silver cars, they have entries for an I10 and a H1 (van).

You might not need to replace all the sensors. I've no personal experience with Hyundai parking sensors but it's not unusual for the system to completely shut down when only one sensor fails. And, in my experience, it would be highly unlikely for all the sensors to fail all at the same time too. If none of them are working that would more likely be a fault with the wiring or the control module rather the sensors themselves.

You usually don't need any specialist equipment to test parking sensors. All you need is a finger. Switch the ignition on and put the car in reverse to activate the sensors, then walk around the car lightly rubbing the face of each sensor with your finger. You should be able to feel the sensors vibrate against your finger as you move it back and forth across the sensor. The one that doesn't vibrate is the faulty one. If you can't feel the sensors vibrate you can try using a screw driver as a stethoscope and listen to them. You should hear them click and the one that doesn't is the faulty one.

Thanks for the reply. I tried to check if the sensors vibrate and as far as i could tell is that they don't vibrate. I checked this on the working rear sensors and couldn't feel any vibration off them but the beep noise was going off. I didn't check the screw driver method.

I did get the main dealer to tell me how many were not working and they said that 3 in the front weren't working but recommended getting all replaced (obviously) as they were taking off the front bumper anyway to do the work.

Also, when I take the car out of reverse, the park sensor noise starts with a constant chime and the dash is showing a red bar in front of the car symbol.
