Just would like to compare my i30 with others...

There's a 1 inch unswept vertical gap at the right hand edge (see from driver position) if my front windscreen (UK version).
Into this gets swept all the dirty water so it's a front blind spot when combined with the pillar width. And a bit annoying.

On my other & previous cars, I'd adjusted out such gaps (by removing wiper arm and replacing, one or 2 sprocket steps anti clockwise).

My question is: What typical gap do you other i30 owners have on the RHS? (or is it LHS for LHD). And has anyone successfully adjusted this without the risk of fouling the windscreen edge seal?

Just took a picture for you.

As you can see, my unswept gap is just about the same as you're reporting.

I wouldn't want to reposition the arm, though, as currently it lies out of sight behind the bonnet when parked. Plus, I haven't noticed it as too much of a distraction or obstacle.

Thanks for the pic, it looks very similar.

Just now saw a Ceed in the works car park here, it's unswept area looks half as wide!

Solution for now is to keep some paper towel in the door cubby, wind the window down occasionally & give that edge a wipe!
