Hi dear Hyundai owners,

I have been trying for a while to find out the difference between two parts:
87620-E6030 and 87620-E6070
both are passenger side mirrors.
Both are compatible with my Sonata it says.
One has a "with black trim" or "black finish" and the other one "without black trim" in the description. I am confused. Besides of the plastic cover the mirror is always black from what I know?

I tried to call dealers, part sellers, and none of them can tell me the exact difference so far.
Has nobody seen both parts?

One place said I should get 87620-E6030, the other one I should get 87620-E6070 - both assumed I would need to get it painted.

Is "Black trim" not equal to "black"?

I do not need a paint job on the "clip on cover" that matches the color of the car, as I still have that cover.

I tried to ask this question over 2 months ago in the hybrid forum, but no reaction there. Since the part seems to be the same, I hope somebody in the "normal" Sonata forum can help.

Thanks,

On 2018 Sonata LF NEWRISE models, the sport model have a glossy black bottom where the lesser models have flat black bottom, maybe that is it or maybe black finish is the paint and black trim is the bottom of the mirrors that are always black.

Thank you for your kind response. That would imply that either the 87620-E6030 or the 87620-E6070 only would have been on the market since late 2017 or so. I wonder.
Anybody else with an opinion or additional insight?

I don't know the cost of this part but is it possible to buy one of each from a place with a 30 day return policy and then you can compare them side by side and return the one that you do not need?

Not seen both but here is E6030, the one without the black trim, if it's any help :
Thanks, that's super-helpful. That's probably the one that I am looking for.
The picture you took was from a version that was already painted to match a white hyundai (whatever they call the specific color in marketing), correct? That is not the "out of the box" look of a new OEM part.

To be honest, I don't know. It was just a picture I found on google when I did a search for your two part numbers. The white could be a primer because it looks like a satin finish in the photo rather than proper gloss. But if the mirror caps do come colour coded from the factory they will obviously ask you for your colour code when you order.

Nothing came up against the part number, BTW.

I don't like to do this type of thing (buy and return). It doesn't seem right to me.
Indications are that it is 87620-E6030.
Alpha Automative does not have the part on stock and does not order parts upon request. They only "have what they have".
eBay - I dug through a lot of pots, a lot of 87620-C2010 or 87620-C000 or so, but no 87620-E6030.

But I think I found a place to order it from now. Still $272 or so for OEM.

Thanks,
The 87620-E6030 has the following features; ((8762C4) PASS'S SIDE - ELECTRIC HTD-CONV, (876BA2) I.M.S, (876MA2) MANUAL FOLD'G, (876NA1) SIDE REPEATER LAMP (O/S MRR), (957AA2) BLIND SPOT DETECTION SYSTEM - RADAR TYPE)

The 87620-E6070 has the following features; ((8226A1) DR BLACK OUT FINISH - BRIGHT, (8762C4) PASS'S SIDE - ELECTRIC HTD-CONV, (876BA2) I.M.S, (876MA2) MANUAL FOLD'G, (876NA1) SIDE REPEATER LAMP (O/S MRR), (957AA2) BLIND SPOT DETECTION SYSTEM - RADAR TYPE)

If the dealer is looking it up without the VIN they WILL get different options, if they look it up with the VIN the parts are all VIN specific so if they do that (which im thinking they didn't) then they should get the right part number.
