Mine sucks.The range is only like 40ft or so and I always have to have a clear line of sight. I don't think the batteries are bad.

In your manual you can read it had a range of about 30ft

The range is pretty bad. I can reliably get it from about 10ft, but any further, and I press the remote under my jaw and click it. The wavelength of the remote tends to land neatly in a fractional ratio to the height of your body, as well as fractional ratios to body parts like your head and arms, and lets your body act as a dielectric resonator. Lets me go about 50ft with a handful of tries.

It also depends in interference of where you are at. In one parking lot by me I have to be like 5 feet away. Typical is usually 40ft or so at my guess. Pro tip this works hold remote touching your head and hit button should get a few more feet out of it.
