I have significant corrosion on the battery terminals of a 2003 Elantra. I want to clean the corrosion but have been told I may need a radio reset pin after I disconnect the battery terminals. The car has the original OEM radio. I've checked all the paperwork I have that came with the car (owners manual etc) and have found no such code listed anywhere or even any mention of the need for a code. I've also checked in and around the glove box for any cards or stickers containing a code and found none. Does anyone know if anti-theft radios were used in 2003 Elantras?

No, codes not required. Crappy sound system not worth stealing. My cd died 5 yrs ago. My radio died couple weeks ago -another user error. After leaving dome lights on, I attached my battery charger backwards. Lamp/dome lights and cig fuses were toasted, and it took out that cheap ass poor AM reception radio.
