Newbie here. Thanks in advance to all and everyone who might be able to assist...I posted some of this in the welcome forum when I introduced myself.
My question may suit somebody who is interested in VIN’s. Is there anyone who would like to decode my VIN? I have trawled through countless sites and still don’t have a difinitive snap shot of my car! The VIN is KMHD251EMHU332366. As I say I have visited 10s and 10s of sites that show which digit is which however this is for the person who would enjoy breaking this down and interpretation each digit. Thanks in advance! ?

Trip - Petrol Consumption computer awry

Hi. Firstly an apology and caveat that I work in kilometres and litres. I know most members here are from the US. I’m in Australia and my i30, which I believe is called the Elantra in the US, is falsely predicting what mileage/kms I should get on a full tank of gas.

Immediately upon filling the tank (usually 91 Octane, but that shouldn’t matter- but it is the recommended gas for this car), I reset the tripometer to 0, and take a note that on a full tank the computer says I should get approximately 460 km from this full tank. When I get to near empty, I’ve only ever travelled around 330 km and nowhere near what the trip computer said I should have got on the tank of gas.

Can anyone elucidate on the accuracy of this trip computer and whether it’s a fault or just a bad computer? Thanks in advance! ?

https://www.vindecoderz.com/ does it help?

That reading is an estimate. If you change your driving style it will affect the outcome.
The empty line on the fuel gauge does not always mean empty, tanks usually have a reserve to keep the fuel pump happy.

How many litres are you filling tank with after you get 330km. 35L?
Try to fill at the same service station pump when you want to get accurate results.
