I noticed the vibration behind the dead pedal from the first day I purchased it. At the time I purchased the car it was raining a lot and I figured that it was due to the rain hitting behind the wheel well while driving. However, even in nice weather I felt it so I brought it in and they told me the tires were never deflated when I purchased the vehicle (the tires on new cars are over inflated while shipping and sitting on the lot). The ride was much smoother once they corrected this and the vibration was much less noticeable, but still there. I had mud flaps installed later on and I haven't noticed a difference in the amount of vibration between pre/post mud flap install.

Would someone mind posting pictures with the location of the plugs? I believe I have found the location of the plugs and I have plugs in place but I still have a vibration and I do have mud flaps also. Not sure if I am looking at the correct plugs. The ones I see are behind the front tires and in front of the rear tires. They are a perfect circle. Thanks!!

There're pics of the front plugs on the 'other' site, as well as a vague explanation why they need to be installed (I posted the location of the rear ones above). The site name is like this one, but just add 'my' at the beginning, and remove the '-'. Good technical info there, plus you can request a .pdf copy of the service manual at no cost. Hope this helps.

I'm sorry but I do not know what you mean by "other site". I looked at the first page of this discussion and did not see any pics. Could you just place a link on the post? Thanks.

I found the tie down plug location under my sonata and noticed that there were no plugs over the holes. I called the service deaprtment and he told me that those plugs are only used to cover the holes during over seas shipments to keep salt water out. He said that there are pre delivery plugs and they should not be on my car. Still don't understand why I have vibrations on the dead pedal.
