So on my LImited the variable speed wiper control works like...wide white band on lever gets you short time between wiper sweeps. The more the band narrows the longer the time is between wiper sweeps. Every other car I've ever owned has been just the opposite. Am I the proud owner of a swapped wire job? What say the forum? The owner's manual is no help.

You know, I've never actually paid attention to the "thin band to wide band" settings - I've just turned it to either the slower or faster setting without actually looking at the position of the dial.

Now I'll have to check it the next time I'm in the car.

Perhaps "wider" means "longer interval", while "shorter" means, uh, "shorter interval"?

That's the way it is on my SE. But you are correct with your other cars. On all my other vehicles it has been the opposite.
