We have a 2004 Tiberon with the 2.7 built early 2004. Apparently, Hyundai put a slightly modified 2.7 in cars built after march 2004 (at least that's what we were told by the dealer). The engine in this car has a vacuum line that goes from the front valve cover to the rear valve cover (on the passenger side), which is not on the later model. Anyway, the problem we're having is pressure building in the crankcase, thereby causing oil to blow past the valve seals, and the car is burning oil. It runs perfectly other than that. What i need is the schematic for all the vacuum lines for this engine so we can be certain they all all routed correctly. Have not been able to find this schematic in any manuals or at the local dealers...and it's not showing in All Data either. Can anyone help me determine the correct routing for all these vacuum lines. Thanks.

Did you take off the PCV valve and check it? It's responsible for crankcase ventilation.

Anyway, there should be a vacuum routing diagram sticker under the hood.

The PCV valve has been replaced. No diagram is under the hood...must have been removed. Ideally, if someone has this same engine and could take a picture so we can see the correct routing...that would be great.

There is only 4 vacuum lines on that engine

1- brake booster line

2- purge line to purge solenoid (top center of throttle body)

3- PCV hose. run straight from PCV to side of intake at base of throttle body

4- fuel pressure regulator line (short small diameter hose runs from #6 intake runner to fuel pressure regulator

5- tube that connects front cam cover to rear cam cover to improve vapor venting

Picture shows #5 tube -
