Good Morning / Afternoon Everyone!

It is our pleasure to announce that we have developed a performance-oriented subdivision called UTUNE. Our primary focus for this is the development of Hyundai & Kia vehicle line-up performance tuning and flashing, giving the customer's vehicle that little bit extra that they desire.

Details are for the following UTUNE FlashTuner and other products will available for the following vehicles:

---------------------------------------------------
2010 - 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T
2010 - 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe V6 (TBA)
2009 - 2012 Hyundai Genesis Sedan 3.8 v6 (TBA)
2011 + Hyundai 2.0T Sonata
2012 + Hyundai Veloster 1.6 Turbo (TBA)
2013 + Hyundai Sante Fe 2.0T (TBA)
2013 + Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T (TBA)
---------------------------------------------------
2011 + Kia 2.0T Optima
2012 + Kia Sportage 2.0T (TBA)
---------------------------------------------------

Since we have not released any details regarding the FlashTuner, let us explain some details regarding our UTUNE ECM FlashTuner programmer.

The FlashTuner is an ECM recalibration programmer for the Hyundai and Kia vehicle lineup. We have supporting tunes for the following vehicles, Kia 2.0T Optima, (Kia Sportage 2.0T TBA), Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T,*Hyundai 2.0T Sonata, (Veloster Turbo, 3.8 V6, Genesis Sedan 3.8 v6, and*Hyundai Sante Fe 2.0T TBA).

Each tune is specifically engineered for the particular vehicle and its accompanying modifications based on 87, 91, and/or 93 oct.
Our tunes have safely raised factory parameters such as Speed and RPM limiters to be used off public roads.
Our tunes also do not compromise drivability and retain factory safeguards, to avoid damage to the vehicle.
Through dyno and real world testing, we have seen improved fuel economy, and increase horsepower and torque.
A key feature to the UTUNE FlashTuner is that it provides the ability to have little to no downtime for vehicle tuning and ECM calibration. In the event that we do not have the vehicle tune data available, UTUNE will work with each customer to develop a ECM calibration based on the newer vehicle ECM calibration data.

WARRANTY
UTUNE FlashTuner has a twelve (12) month warranty of the original date of purchase that covers defects in materials or workmanship of the product. Coverage terminates if sold or transfer of ownership take place of product. The product is intended for Offroad and Race Track use Only.

If you encounter any issue with the tune, we will first request that you consult with the tuner whom which provided a tune to check for fault or error. UTUNE will honor the original tune or tunes provided to a customer directly from UTUNE for 90 days (restrictions apply). All data will be saved our database along with purchase data/Vin#/License plate #, so we can provide any kind of warranty service if need be. If the ECM is opened or our product modified without approval, our warranty policy is void. If extra measures are needed, UTUNE will work with the wholesaler and/or customer to resolve the issue. For any additional basic bolt-on hardware (ex: intake, and/or exhaust), we will offer a free ECM reflash update if needed within the 90 day (3months) period. For any additional upgrade hardware (ex: cams, forced induction upgrade, etc) made within a year, UTUNE will offer an ECM upgrade calibration flash for the supported modifications* at a discounted price.

MSRP is $699.00 (ground shipping is included for United States)*

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the Hyundai and Kia community. We look forward to providing the community with a quality product. We will be adding dyno sheet comparison, video clips and more technical sheets as soon as we can.*We are also looking to get feedbacks/reviews from customers who jump on our intro product deals.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM/Call or reply to the thread.

Today, we had a successful day of finalizing the flash for another vehicle. The 2012 Kia Optima 2.0t GDI test car stock, did an amazing. We were able to increase the factory output of 224whp and 232wtq to a flashed output of 265whp and 268wtq on a DynoJet. The car when finished was set to a safe 23psi with no issues . We have noted a daily driving Average MPG of 27 and highest Average at 36. There are no additional parts to add on, just a FlashTuner programmer and your vehicle.

Hello,

At this time we will not be working on the Elantra GT yet due to other projects ahead in R&D time scheduling.

2010 - 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe V6 (TBA)
2013 + Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T and V6 in beta ...
2011 - 2012 Hyundai Sonata 2.0 T-Gdi (available for purchase)
2013 + Hyundai Sonata 2.0 T-Gdi in beta ....
2012 + Hyundai Sante Fe 2.0 T-Gdi in beta ...
2012 + Hyundai Veloster 1.6 T in beta ...

If you have any questions or would like to get ahold of us regarding tuning, please email [email protected] or pm this post.

Thanks

Is there more information available on how this works ( i.e. Do you just plug this in and let it load a pre determined tune or ?)
How do you get back to factory settings if the car needs to go in for warranty work?

Hi,

We had positive result with original release date of the Tune Version 1 in May. Our FlashTuner Programmer plugs in via the factory OBD II port and loads any of three pre made tune files for your vehicle. We are now revising the tune to incorporate added changes to factory part equipped vehicles as well as modified part equipped vehicles, as well as other vehicles. In order to get back to factory tune data, you would need to sync the programmer to the vehicle and load that specific tune. This product is for offroad use, and may not comply with all or any warranty work. We suggest consulting with the dealership first.

I guess not anytime soon since I did not hear back from anyone. Oh well some other vendor then
The programming engineers have not continued with the development of the 3.8 v6 programmer due to the lack of interest . Unfortunately that means that we will not be developing this for the hand held anytime soon just yet.

Good to hear.

The Genesis Sedan and Genesis Coupe have different ECM coding so I highly doubt the ECM Haltech releases will be compatible .
