We had this problem with american cars when we were stationed in Europe.
IIRC here is a little more detail... US FM radio broadcasts on stations like 102.1, 107.7. Notice the stations all end with an odd number. Some european FM stations broad cast on frequencys ending with an even decimal. It wasn't a big deal until the mid 80s when the digital tuners started showing up. Many would only tune from .2, .4, .6 and so on. If you can be sure the one you are looking at tunes one decimal point at a time like .2, .3, .4 etc. it should be ok.
Or if all indian stations broadcast on the even decimal numbers like the US then its all moot.
