I am updating the look of my '14 Elantra Coupe
Currently my wheels are stock 17" with 215 45 tires.
I want to upgrade to 18" aftermarket wheels with 215 45 tires.
Question is, will this be too large for the wheel well? Is it better to go with a smaller side wall and wider width if I am upping the rim size? Possibly go with a 40 sidewall and 225 width?
Thank you

Thanks for that link. Looks like all I really need to change is sidewall. From 45 to 40.
Is there any issues with wheel bearings and shocks struggling with this sort of change?

A 215/40 18 will be pretty close to stock.

It would, but might be more than you want/need.
