Hello guys!
Please help me. Does anyone tried to remove glare shield in front of the bulb on a reflector low beam headlight when upgrading to LED? I think removing it would maximize the LED output, but not sure of negative results.

It seems that the glare shield can only be removed by reducing its size (cutting) to pull out from the reflector.

Thanks!

Unless the LED output is from the tip of the bulb, it will not effect the lighting in any way. The point of those shields is to minimize wasteful light. Since the light in a reflector is literally reflecting off the housing, there is no need for light directly in front of it. So with LED bulbs, you'll notice that they are on each side of the bulb. Removing the shielf will make the "dark spots" even more noticeable
