They should have disclosed what month were these cars manufactured so that we can look up the date on our cars.
Absolutely. I might take a look myself; don't want to be that one in a 100K statistic :innocent:. I'm also curious about the dead pedal vibration at 70/80 mph.

Most of us are mature enough to take problems like this as general knowledge, and just be aware they COULD happen to us. We're also smart enough to know the odds are pretty slim, so no overreaction needed. By the same token, not buying a car because you read something like this is utterly stupid IMO, because if you read forums of every car you're considering, you wouldn't buy anything :whistling:. Something like this can be checked in 10 minutes. I'd be more worried about possible engine/drivetrain problems, as those are much harder to fix right, and often lead to lemon/buyback issues. I'm a perfectionist, but also an engineer (by profession), so learned long ago I can't expect a car to be perfect, or I'd be nuts by now . But yes, forums like this are an important part of the research to make sure we make an educated decision about our next purchase. And yes, sometimes we'll feel we didn't do enough, but you can buy a bad car from any manufacturer, and any model. That's what warranties are for. And lemon laws too. Take care.
